Subject: Lift the ban on political discussion in the Flood

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

What is wrong with this one?

Read the last post. If the thread had been left open, guaranteed flame war would have envoked.

The point is, almost all political discussions go sour. It is this trend that has caused them to be removed in the public forums.

Either that or he's extremely delusional and requires immediate professional help.

Fix'd. A'ight, brothers, let's stop derailing this thread.

Back on-topic: Yeah, the Flood is nowhere near mature enough for political discussion. I pop my head in there every once and a while, and it's the same as always, OP. Prove me otherwise and I will accept your beliefs. I'd love to see proof that the Flood has matured.

  • 09.18.2011 6:42 PM PDT

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Truth is a matter of perception.

The Button

The Flood has been here for how long and they still refuse to grow up?

Loose talk is noose talk.

The Flood will never be mature enough, because people keep having babies, and babies keep liking Halo (or other things...).

The solution therefore, would be to nuke the babies or nuke the Halo, so that the Flood can have its politics.

It was a joke thread about what would happen if America invaded Britain. What?

  • 09.18.2011 6:47 PM PDT

You can't haz mudkip.

"The Flood" doesn't grow up. it's not an entity. Flood forumgoers may grow up, but not every single one of them. I think political discussion should be limited to when the mods are aaway, and lock the thread immediately after they see it.

the flood has grown up slightly

David iZ MentalYep.

Halo3Planet, the place for all things Halo 3..

Need help finding skulls, make sure to go here.

As long as political discussions don't get too rowdy, I've noticed the mods tend to let them go on. Very rarely have I been involved in a real political discussion in The Flood that a moderator ended prematurely for simply being a political thread.

  • 09.18.2011 7:28 PM PDT

It's the opposite for me. I was a regular of The Flood over the summer, and I never saw a single political discussion that didn't get locked for just being a political thread.

Goodbye...

I'm a regular to The Flood, and I say no. That place is a hellhole, which explains why I've been slowly moving into private groups.

They's just abuse the new privilege. They want to discuss it, they can go join that religious/political discussion group.
