You misunderstood genius. I am a 25 still because I have not played ranked games since becoming a 25. I was guessing at where I would be had I continued, due to the level of others that I have played and beaten lately (unranked). After a match and before(360) you see other players' level, and this is what I was basing it on. Frankly, I don't care what level I am, since it really does not correctly label an individual's skill.

Hm...Nvidia's known to have some degree of incompatibility with Halo. What kind exactly Nvidia are you using? As in, model number?

Oh, and I think there is a patch for it, but since I don't remember, I can't tell you where to go. Hopefully someone will link you to it...

It doesn't matter which series it is, you're still going to have that problem. I'm 99% sure there is a patch for it, but I can't find it. I remember it being found once, but I had already gotten an ATi card so didn't bother looking into it anymore. I've had an FX5200, 6800NU and 7800GT and none of them display it correctly. Sad truth is, Halo PC just looks better on ATi GPU's (not that I don't like them).

yea especially since there isnt a huge leap in preformance from the 7800 series to the 7900 series. Maybe like a 5-10% preformance increase. Why cant the graphics card companies just wait a year or so and actually develop something thats worth dropping $500 on. I mean each new card that is relased is an improvement, but nothing like the jump from the ati 9xx series to the 9700. That was like a 50% preformance increase and it was insane. I remember how ridiculous that card was when it first came out. It was basically like comparing an amd xp processor to an amd FX.

Well, thats how trade and business in life is. How do you think, our technology has increased so fast over the years. Even how the rate of which our teechnology grows is growing even faster. For example, years ago, it used to be 6 months something new, then 6 months something new. But now its just like something is coming out every month or so. Its competition, one person trying to outdo another, forcing them to do something to outdo the other guy. They want to the best, beating the other guy, and in cases of graphics cards, get the most customers and market shares.

im not buying omniosspartans whole deal. I remember him claming to get 70 fps with the pci fx5500. He said he was using an amd fx60 and asus a8n sli premium, but that wouldnt help very much, maybe only give a few extra fps. You could have the worlds greatest processor and a crappy videocard (fx 5500), and you wont get over 13 fps at 1280x1024

edit - i found an old halo pc benchmark list. These are old cards so keep this in mind. Anyway the fx 5500 isnt mentioned, but higher modesl (the fx5600, 5600U, 5700, 5900 ect...) are mentioned. If you look the fx 5600 barely breaks 19.84 fps on 1024x768, and the fx5600U which is a higher model, gets 21.8 fps. So how are you going to get 80 fps on the fx5500 with a higher resolution when higher model cards can barely break 20 fps on a lower resolution?

and what about this old post saying you have the 7900GTX's? HERE .

Shizzle, that's not a graphics card you've got in there. It's an Integrated Chipset. In other words, if you have a desktop, you just got copped out of a real graphics card. See, chipsets are basically a computer chip on your motherboard designed to handle and process images the way a real Card does. Problem is, it doesn't have the dedicated RAM or the power of a real card.

Intel doesn't make graphics cards, they make processors and Integrated Chipsets. Real cards are made mostly by ATI and nVidia, and they are an actual individual circuit board with its own fan, chipsets, etc, etc. Integrated Chipsets are actually designed for laptops, and even then, you can get a good deal if you look hard enough. My laptop, for example, has an Integrated ATI Mobility Radeon Xpress 200. Far better than the stock Intel Integrated.

As for that grey chief thing, if you can't get a new graphics card, then go get a patch for that game, it should be in somebody's sig. Should be called "I can see the colors" or something of the sort.

Hey, Omnios Spartan, I have a single ASUS Extreme Nvidia 7800 GT Aka GTX and it plays fine except are you goin' for SLI??

Cause Bungie was never able to format it for SLI rigs and many times you have to switch to single card, only if you have a mobo (Mother board) like A8N-SLI Premium, were you just set it to SLI on Windows desktop. What Mobo Mate?

Spectre out.

haha, ok first of all the only way to have SLI is to have a mobo that supports SLI, meaning it has 2 pci-e slots (the A8n SLI premium is one of them). Second of all, how else would it work? what would you do put it into a ram slot or something? what do you mean by bungie was never able to format it to SLI for rigs and many times you would have to switch to a single card?
