It's hitting me hard. I want to leave.
i started a thread some time ago about why more american youth don't go abroad, but rather opt to settle down the first chance they get. nothing really came of it.
Over the course of the past few years, I have had the peasure of visiting Ireland, Wales, Scotland, England, and Australia, and I am not yet halfway through high school. These experiences really opened my eyes to many other peoples and cultures. All of the people I met were very open and friendly. If you are looking for countries with warm, friendly people, I would suggest going to either Ireland, Scotland, or Australia.
Personally, Australia is my favorite country out of the ones I have visited. The people were some of the friendliest I have met. I had the privledge of staying with and Aussie family with a friend in a small town near the Great Dividing Range called Toowoomba. The family opened up and treated us like we were family. That homestay is one of the most memorable moments of that trip. If I was in your situation and had the money, that would be the county I would go to.
Quite frankly, Obbi, do what you think is right. If that requires leaving that country then so be it, but try not to forget the US and return home when you are ready.
