You're acting like there's no need to read the rules, while your 20 bans would seem to suggest otherwise...

People that have never been banned that have never read the rules seem to suggest otherwise.
That's a real small population, there.

Known by some, but not by all.

So basically you are saying that someone who has been banned many times is an expert on the rules. That's ridiculous. Actually, its a case of "I don't care about the rules or the consiquences." Also, what you are saying is self defeating.

Yes, but it doesn't really matter because you learn what the rules are by getting banned.

The beta is super awesome. RogueAssassin27 is now the person who got my Totodile's nickname. Hoo-hah! Relevant.inb4lock

No, what I mean is by learning the rules and making mistakes, you understand the rules better.

Sure. Many times.

That doesn't help me when I get banned for incredibly vague things, but I've read them, sure.

...that doesn't make ANY sense.

It's painfully obvious that a user who reads the rules in full is exponentially less likely to be banned than one who has not. Anyone who has not read the rules and has not been banned either thinks in a manner similar to the web team on the subject of forum etiquette (sp? I'm on a phone so no spell check) or is lucky.

What a hipster.

Don't be ignorant; of course it does. You don't think I've watched tons of people get banned? Yes, I have. If I hadn't been banned already, I'd still have a small list of things I shouldn't do, comprised probably of the most common mistakes. Then, when I accidentally break a rule, I'd get a warning, and add another thing to the list.

When I first joined I did. Read the ToC, CoC, and the forum rules. Haven't read them since though.

Really? Impressive.

I hate you unless I'm drunk.

I really do. If I see someone ask a question I'm not sure answer of answer I'll re-read em. And the ToU and the CoC.
its just one of the things I do, If I'm not sure of something I do what I can to make myself sure. And if I'm still not sure, I'll ask someone who knows better than I.

Yup, a few times. Usually if they're updated or if I take a break from B.Net for awhile. I try not to read just the rules though when I do, I usually check to see if the ToU or CoC have changes to them; that's where all the juicy stuff is.

I re-read it about every month or so.

I really need to invest in a bull-blam!- detector.

*raises hand*
*shakes hand both wildly and fervently*
*waits to be called on*
*sees that the "teacher" is ignoring him*
*calls out anyway*

Read the rules.

Problem solved. Bans no longer needed.

Good point.

However, you claimed that his argument made absolutely no sense, and in fact vehemently insisted that the statement was entirely devoid of merit or logic; there was reason behind it.

Lesson: Just read the rules, guys.

Yep. I reread them every time they are updated. Always looking for a loophole...

I read the paper on the toilet.

But yes I've read the rules - old and new.

Speaking of chuckles, let's all lol at IonicPaul, who makes friends with bugs to make up for his lack of human contact.

I've read them all the way through about twice. Doesn't mean I haven't had trial and error a couple of times with flaming dumb people.

Despite that, I'll always hold a bone of contention that it wasn't forum copping and that I was singled out for "feeding the trolls", even though there were so many other clueless users in the thread who didn't get banned for feeding the trolls. Bobcast... >:(

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I have been banned so many times I know most of them.

I never really have. I don't think it's healthy to be obsessed with rules. Since most people like to bend the rules in their favor.
