I would just like to say that any responses I have made, in this thread or others, were not meant to offend anyone, and if they have, I am deeply sorry for offending you, that's not what they were meant to do. I just tend to say stuff that offends people, without meaning to.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

Number 102; Atomic Mass (259)
Carter-A259

Nothing found on the Number 102 relating to Noble Team.

(I can feel the conspiracy theory boiling within my brain)

My thoughts? People are taking the most random items and placing connections that don't exist on it.

I honestly just spotted it one day during class and with Bungie being as secretive as they are, I just posed a theory.

However, Bungie always tends to pop in my head whenever I see the number 7... Must just be the paranoid conspiracy theorist part of my mind :P

I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita.
Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,

Except that Element 117 was discovered after Halo was released. Purely coincidental.
the guy who named it might of named it after the game... not very likely. but thers a chance.

The actual name is ununseptium, were just calling it element 117 cuz its more recognizable and so ppl that come in out of no where and asking "wtf is that?"

  • 09.24.2011 4:12 PM PDT

Halo reach alone on legendary! Message me to play halo wars, too. im the only person here who likes halo wars.

Omg! nice find dude!

ununseptium is atomic # 117? and sept is 7. That could somehow be related. AND its in the 7th period oh!

How many noble gases were there? ill check...

AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i checkedsLF'!~~~!!

Theres SIX (6) noble gases!!!!

Thats why its called a septagon, and why the element is ununseptium, its latin (i think) meaning seven, while un means one... And as for the noble gas thing, i thot we already went over that... And theres seven, btw, ununoctium.

This is one of those untame on that the guy before said (sorry, i forgot your name and trying to get to it is just more trouble than its worth, cuz im on my phone doing this), yes?

We believe that the universe is unbounded: this is not the same as infinite: the 2-D surface of a sphere, wrapped around a 3rd dimension, has a finite size, but has no end. If you start off in a given direction on the surface of a sphere, you could return to your start point without having to turn around -- you simply go all the way around. But wouldn't that mean the universe has an escape velocity like the earth?

Seven. Ununoctium is an oddity indeed.

Yes. I learned yesterday, that this very topic has been posted elsewhere, and then forgotten by the depths of time itself.

  • 09.25.2011 7:55 AM PDT

Yeah, at least twice. Once by me.

Not complaining or anything, it was a while ago. But I do have some info.
About the sept in ununseptium meaning seven, un=1, sept=7. Hence un-un-sept=117. They always do that before they name the element.

Additionally, there are 6 noble gasses WITH NAMES: helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon. Their atomic numbers are 2,10,18,36, 54, and 86, and ununoctium is (obviously) 118. I would suggest looking in the bios of noble team for any references to these or the atomic mass.

EDIT: I really like the whole bit about the halogens being the seventh column. Even if it isn't a conspiracy, it's really cool.
