NOT INTO THE LONG GRASS!

When the Reach forum doesn't? And I'm actually being serious, why the hell does the community forum hate on the Flood so much?

I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

The Reach Forum gets loads of criticism.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

What a hipster.

They both get a ton of -blam!-. The Flood is off topic, making it harder to see the line of "good" and "you've gone too far".

Both have their problems, but the Reach forum is more of a gathering place to talk about individuals likings, concerns, and complaints. As the flood is just an organization of scattered interests (not saying that it isn't extremely interesting). Simply, in the Reach forum you have a general idea of what your getting into, but in the Flood it's a random mix.

Seeing as the Community is more about Bungie then their games, more people that post here also tend to post in the flood, exposing the bad.

OT:Its history precedes itself. Even if the only bad thing the flood ever did was Porch Day, it would have a bad rep. Stupid -blam!- comes out of the flood, much more so than any other forum on this site.

I don't get it. By this, are you saying that I underestimate how "bad" The Flood is? If so, then you're wrong. The Flood, while a bit silly at times, is nowhere near as bad you and plenty others make it out to be. Even if you wanted to refer to it as bad it's nowhere near as "bad" as it once was.

I am saying that. While it is a safe haven for people who want to discuss current events, MLP, music, and Gears of War 3, but the users of it troll and provide illegitimate spam-like responses MUCH more so than any other forum. If the ninjas enforced inb4's (people have been banned for it before), memes (people have been banned for it before), and rude, excessively insensitive responses to legitimate queries (people have been banned for it before) as they do in the Septagon and other forums, it would be a much emptier place.

Edit: Due to the allusion to the fact that I'm being a rude know it all, I'd like to clarify. I'm not saying the ninjas are doing a bad job. If anything, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to enforce the above incidents as efficiently in the flood as other forums due to its heightened level of activity in comparison to those other forums. That is, unless the Mod to User ratio was more like 1:5 or 1:4 as opposed to its current, 1:180.

The plot could be about a man taking a -blam!- on a fire detector and I'd still hope for the best.

It gets lots, if not more, than the Flood.

Intolerance is the highest level of stupidity and inbred thinking.

Flood never got this much criticism when I joined Bungie.net. I think a lot of it has to do with the naivety of new members. Now, <3 you new members, but I have noticed that there a lot of new members that just like to repeat what they hear. Now, I was not better when I first joined, but it's a much bigger problem because there are so many more people.

It started out as a few people hating the Flood because they probably got butt hurt, and as new people started hearing about this "terrible place" they started repeating what they heard. Similar to how children will repeat the beliefs of their parents without fully understanding them.

Hating the Flood is just "the thing" now, I guess. Sad really, because while it has degenerated to a degree, it's really not that bad. A lot of the other forums are much worse. This one included at times.

Complaining about the Reach forum is like beating a dead horse. People complain about the Flood because it's a mediocre forum (though not as bad as they say) and because it's what the cool kids are doing.

Do me a favor snipes, since you obviously know the rules better than me, where do the rules say inb4 and other memes are bannable offenses?

Thanks.

Actually, in certain cases i believe a repeat offender could possibly be banned for inb4'ing with no other words or numbers to the post other then inb4 as it could be considered spam if done many times.

I obviously don't know the rules better than you do, Underdog. You're a Forum Ninja who has experience with the Forum Rules on, what I'm sure is, a daily or at the very least bi-daily basis.

Also, I never said that it said 'inb4-ing is illegal' in the rules. I'm saying I've seen people get banned for it before, citing the reason as spam. Please don't read too much into what I say. I'm not a deeply philosophical person and what I say is usually what I mean.

Loose talk is noose talk.

In case you didn't know, everyone hates everyone here.

The Community Forum hates everyone because they're not as smart or as well-cultured as them. When they look at the Flood, the only see a target for nuclear devastation.

The Flood hates everyone because they are hated by everyone. Their freedom in discussion birthed jealousy, and jealousy birthed war.

And the Reach Forum hates everyone because they are all a bunch of haters. Seriously. They hang out in a forum, discussing a game they have all sworn to hate and never play again due to menial problems. Some say they are a glutton for punishment, choosing to remain in a place they hate.

Hello, I'm Mr AwesomePizza. I like pizza and I'm a man. Reasoning for the name. I like to listen to the classics of music, write poetry, play video games, and much much more. I'm always down for a nice chat, so please hit me up for some conversation.

I never understood that about some of the members who frequent here. For some reason they think the Flood forum is pure evil, but tru7h be told, the Flood acts like how Bungie did when they started.

But anyways, the Flood is a great place and so is the Community forum. Why can't both of the forums realize that they are both fans of Bungie and it is pointless to hate each other? It is oblivious to me.
