Subject: why dose noble 6 has to die at the end

It emphasizes his sacrifice. Had he escaped on the Pillar of Autumn, and joined Chief in his Galactic campaign to save hummanity, there would have been no meaning in the "deliver hope" theme.

That, and the trilogy games do not include Noble Six. He could not have survived with a vital role in the future games because he was never there.

For everything remains, AS IT NEVER WAS."

Well, I missed something then, cuz i cant think of when anyone was taken prisoner before Reach...

You missed a bit, yes.

In Halo Wars, there are a group of Warthogs and Marines behind detainment fields in the level "Relic Approach." Technically, they are POW's. Also, Ellen Anders was taken prisoner as a very large plot mechanic.

In Halo Reach, it's possibler that the Army troopers in the New Alexandria Hospital were taken prisoner by the Brutes, but were able to obtain their weapons and fight back when Spartan-B312 distracted the Brutes.

Canon says 1 person lived. no one can understand that. why...
The only person that lived was Jun. He got away with Halsey and a few other spartans.

Six died. Even if he managed to avoid getting stabbed by the elite at the end, he was injured and nearly dead, apparent due to the way he was staggering around, barely able to stand. Even if he managed to escape the group of elites, he wouldn't be able to get far before they managed to gun him down. If you noticed, the area surrounding the map(for lack of a better term) was a flat wasteland with absolutely no cover. He stood no chance of making it anywhere on foot. Face it, Six died. End of story.

My question is why does everyone seem to think Six either survived or should have survived; am I the only one who liked having a tragic ending where, for once, the hero doesn't beat the impossible odds and escape?

If you look at it from a certain point of veiw......tthe hero does escape

A ton of people are going to question the canon of Wars, and debunk your post

Halo 1: Captain Keyes gets captured, and you have to rescue him

Halo 3: Seargent J gets captured, and you have to rescue him

1. We're talking about before Keyes gets taken.
2. That explains it! I never got to play Wars yet.
3. Wars is canon, they have a retelling of it on Waypoint (I also forgot about Ellen Anders).

On a different note, all of these other prisoners were seen as useful to the Covenant because they we human and many of the Forerunners devices could only be activate by a human and probably Forerunner, but that we may never know.

Oh by the gods.... Why not? Because the numbers we've been delivered in a small section of the book don't match up? While it's kind of a cop-out, ONI are sneaky bastards. Plus the Spartan-III program was not public at all. Technically, they were never to be known about by anyone save those on a "Need-To-Know" basis.

in GoO, the 8 who "burnt up in orb[it" could of been pulled out of the mission by ONI. edit:damm it, quote fail.

Please Shut the Fu.Ck up. I'm really -blam!- tired of retards saying Noble team shouldn't exist. Are you mother -blam!- stupid or something!? They were spartan IIIs who were pulled out of the suicide ops because they had spartan II genes and had exceptional skills so they were given MJOLNIR armor and turned into a spec ops spartan III team. They were many spartan 3s out there that we didn't know of that were like noble. So I suppose people will be saying that headhunters shouldn't exist because they weren't on suicide ops either. No one complains about that!!

Also don't give me BS that there were no spartan IIIs on reach. In the books the battle of reach is mostly viewed by two people. Master chief in fall of reach who never knew the spartan IIIs existed even during the end of the war, and fred in first strike who mever knows their existence until the battle of onyx which happens months later. And even if they did meet Noble they would probably think that they were the next class of spartan IIs that mendez told them about. Its not like six would be NO I'm a spartan III.

Please stop having that blind hate toward noble team you noble hating faqqots.

United Armed Forces

Noble six dies because there is NO ONE THERE TO EVAC HIM. He is miles from castle base. All Human forces have bugged out, save red team. Chief isn't coming for several days. Alone, in the open, he has 0 chance for survival.

Kaz, the spartan HW refers to is Master Chief. GET OVER IT. Jun doesn't EXIST when Halo wars was made - Jun doesn't exist in records. How could he be the last known survivin spartan? IT'S MASTER CHIEF. The III's weren't public.

Exactly!! I think noble six and kat were one of those " burned up from orbit". Since they were beta company and were pulled out. I think that the UNSC forces you work with on reach think that you're spartan IIs. Since IIIs are top secret. I am making a thread about this.

He had to sacrifice himself to save the crew of the Pillar of Autumn, which included Cortana, humanity's single best hope for survival. If Six had failed, EVERYONE would've died. If you are forgetting something, had Six not delivered Cortana, who would've helped the Chief destroy the second Installation 04? There would've been no way to save the Index from the previous one.

Without Cortana and Six's delivery, humanity would've lost. Period.

I am the best thing that ever happened to you

Because you touch yourself at night.

  • 09.27.2011 9:27 AM PDT

Because part of the drama of the fall of reach is that humanities last line of defense is destroyed.

And spartans were a big part of that defense.

Also, we *think*...keyword being *think* - that all the spartans, humanities super heroes, are dead, but one.

LMAO

Edit: It was just a small part of Cortana ,not the real one.If they lost that fragment then nothing else happened. The real Cortana would still have been on the autumn, they still would have found Alpha Halo with the Sigma Octanus artifact coordinates.
