I have been reading a lot of threads and posts mentioning "bloom", what is it and how does it affect Halo: Reach?

The longer you hold down the trigger, or the faster you feather, the less accurate your weapon is. It's usually represented within the aiming reticle expanding.

The impact it has on gameplay is that it creates awkward battles where the person who actually aims and doesn't spam inaccurate shots may or may not win due to the randomness of said spamming.
