Well there's no need for it.
The only reason the projects were developed were because of peace being disrupted either by Insurrection or the Covenant.

  • 09.24.2011 9:18 PM PDT

Considering how many Spartans were lost in the war, and the idea that another threat might rise up, makes it seem logical to develop another group of Spartans.

Well... maybe. Most of the SPARTANs that are still alive are missing. There are still Innies, so there's a small possibilty of doing an SIV project.

I dont think that the spartan III will continue. There trainers are gone. The UEG would have to start over with the spartan progect also, there are no spartans left(assuming gama is dead).

The remaining Spartans are more than capable of dealing with what is left of the Insurrection, if they even want to continue fighting the UNSC.

I'd put the possibilities of Spartan IV program at around 5% chances in the next 75 - 100 years. After that, there the chances would go up. The UNSC has to focus on rebuilding, and recovering their armed forces. Another Spartan project just simply wouldint have enough funding, as their are other higher priorities.

A long time before any new Spartan programs emerge. Most of the research teams for the augmentations and armours are probably dead, and the manufacturing facilities are likely destroyed as well. The project leaders -Halsey and Ackerson- are gone, as is most of the trainers for the programs.

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

I assume that at some point when humanity has reestablished itself the program will continue. However like anton said the capability has been severely diminished.

UNSC's first priority will be building a fleet that doesn't suck ass.

Halsey's not gone.

Halsey's not gone.

The UNSC don't know that though.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

There is still a whole company of about 300 S-IIIs, Gamma Company, left outside of Onyx, we aren't scrapping for Spartans.

Generalizations.
Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

Please. As long as the UNSC finds John and keeps giving him magical anti-aging drugs, we won't even need a fleet!

What are you talking about?

The only anti aging thing the Chief has used was cryo sleep.

In her journal Dr. Halsey does talk about possibilities for the Mark VII Armor...

Too bad it never got passed the planning stage and any resources to make it have been decimated by the war.

... It's called sarcasm. Perhaps you should learn a little bit about a thing called "comedy". It's a radical new idea where the speaker makes illogical remarks intended to induce laughter upon the audience.

For comedy to work, you have to be funny...which you aren't.

Apart from what Cobra said, it's kind of hard to read sarcasm through text, you know?

Especially with all the people that have no idea what they are talking about, and take it seriously. It's harder to read sarcasm here than on The Flood.

What you're saying about the resources is pure speculation. Also since the journal was written during her time on Reach, we do not know for sure how much farther she is planning on taking the project.

So what you're telling me is that the UNSC had three versions of MJOLNIR all being worked on and tested within the span of a year or two.

Mk.V was put into service in November of of 2551, MK.VI was put into service at October of 2552, and with the Outer Colonies gone, Earth hit pretty badly and decimated fleet, the UNSC's first priority is to develop suits of highly expensive, technology advanced suits for MJOLNIR armor for who?

Not only that, but where is the funding or resources to make a suit with,

Next-gen fusion-plasma hybrid power system.
Atmospheric insertion systems.
Slipspace de-insertion capability
Active AI transfer protocols.
Limited shaping of the energy shield.

Where?
