Subject: If you have more than one page in your Saved Threads...

...you can't see them all.

Let me show you what I mean. I have 2 pages worth of saved threads. We'll pick 5 threads on the page border. They're called Thread 1, Thread2, etc. This is how they are displayed.

Bottom of Page 1: Thread 1, Thread 2.
Top of Page 2: Thread 4, Thread 5.

Where is Thread 3? Gone.

When I add a new thread to my list, Thread 3 appears on Page 2, but Thread 2 disappears. If I remove the new thread, Thread 3 disappears again and Thread 2 reappears on Page 1.

I assume everyone experiences this problem, and it probably happens on every page. It's something that needs to be fixed.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

I've noticed that too but I thought it was my own stupidity. It feels good to hear it's a known issue.

This is already widely know, but I rarely save threads, and I rarely check them.

Other than Achronos you're basically the only one who quotes that way. Most users put the quoted text before their post body. The quote button was changed some time ago to add a space above the quote bubble, expecting you to use the quoting style that is uncommon and looks odd to most.

Leaving the space up the top. It looks ugly, especially when people like yourself insist on typing their post up there.

I'm used to this personally. I see most people actually go in and remove the space like I always do as well. I'm resistant to change.

Personally I prefer text body on bottom; you know who the poster is talking to before you read the text body.

I don't like the extra space before posts but I just ignore it usually.

I just noticed that there actually is a space when you quote someone, I'm so used to just deleting that space that I forgot about it.

It's also inconvenient for those reading through the tangled nest of posts. It would be nice to have an only one method of quoting to avoid this:

It's like a miniature maze.

Many people quote this way. Also, as Duardo pointed out, it makes it easier to find topics that you were discussing in your recent posts (i.e., I found this one via that method).

It's more convenient to type your post, then hit quote and submit as opposed to quoting, removing that space, scrolling down in the textfield, typing your response, and then hitting submit.

Quoting on top: for the lazy.

Well, yeah, but I don't like reading from bottom to top.

  • 09.25.2011 12:16 PM PDT

Read top-to-bottom. Read their response, then read what they were talking about, yo. Quoting is usually just used for others to know who they are talking to.

Makes more sense my way IMO. (obviously; that's why I do it this way)
