In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Sure, I could be an official. :p

I'm going to invade your heart like a barn swallow high on milk chocolate and grandma love.

Fairness is only possible within the limited powers of man. Elsewhere, there is only chance.

Thus I refute thee.

Would be cool.

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

You do realise the exact same, replica thread, was locked in the flood?

A government formed by inexperienced individuals will undoubtedly make your current view on the Flood, much worse.

Too bad this site is more of a "dictatorship" but more power for us to sove issues would be great.

The mods can't be everywhere all the time.

Having active people take on more responsibilites would be good for this site.

Yes, it was locked becuase the Flood is for off topic discussion, not discussion about Bungie.net and it's features.

Also, Spell check isn't working right noe on IE. :p

Once laws have been established by the Officials and voted on by the people, the people will have as much power as we do, reporting threads or posts that conflict with the laws.

But couldn't people be corrupt and report posts that don't break the rules?

And Bungie employees and ninjas are the TRUE officials.

I think the solution is to make more active people ninjas.

ATTENTION MODERATORS. My latest ban (14-day ban from Qbix89) is not legitimate, take a look for yourself. Please review this before considering me a "repeat offender". Thank you.

This sounds ridiculous to tell the truth. Achronos would never let something like this be held on Bungie.net.

Sorry, but this is ludicrous.

I could understand getting more ninjas or having new moderation but a democracy on Bungie.net would never work.

I agree, it is a bad idea.

We have no rights...

Interestingly enough, Joseph Staten got his job on Bungie by making up his own rules for some old Bungie games. That turned out pretty well for him. I can't see him getting angry at the government unless it somehow goes corrupt (which isn't really possible). Wouldn't you like a helping hand if you were in his position? Wouldn't you be proud to see your community coming together to make Bungie.net a better place?

Yeah, this may work in "real life" but this is the internet, this is a website.

This probably is more trouble than it is worth.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

This thread was made in the Flood and the user got banned and the thread locked.

I guess we have found ourselfs an alt account, huh?

Only after we ban Bricypoo.

Yeah, this isn't going to work... Especially since the officials are picked by the flood...
