Hang on.

You have a gamertag linked right now. But it's the wrong one, and you want to link your OTHER Gamertag to this same Bnet account you're on now, correct?

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Explain it carefully, which gamertag do you want linked to which Bungie account? From there the solution will be simple.

Not this one my other account
What? Be specific, please. And when you explain, don't ever say account. Say Bnet account or Gmaertag, for clarification purposes.

Basically, the account i want linked to my bungie profil is iZ McRewz Zi, whereas the one that is linked is EntombedMoss73, which is my other account but an offline one, on the same console

All you should have to do is change the email address associated with your gamertag iZ McRewz Zi to the email address you used to sign up for your Bungie.net account. If I remember correctly.

I need more clarity, sorry.

Separatist account has Gamertag A linked to it.
Mark V Guy account has Gamertag B linked to it.
And you have a separate gamertag, gamertag C, that is not linked to anything.

You want Mark V Guy to have Gamertag C linked to it instead of Gamertag B.

All three gamertags have their own, separate WLID's, and you don't want to change anything with the Separatist account. Is this information all accurate?

Thing is Gamertags B and C have the same WLID because they are on the same console.

Also Gamertag A isnt actually a real GT, I wouldnt mind if GT C was linked to this one or the other one, but i figured this one would be easier since it has an account which is on the same cosole

Impossible. Two gamertags cannot have the same WLID. I have 4 Gamertags on my console, but every one has to be separate. You're looking at something wrong there, mate.

You can't link an offline account because Xbox Live would have no way of recognizing that it exists. So that's not a WLID. That's just an e-mail.

So the online gamertag you want to link. It has its own WLID.

On average, a person produces about half a liter of fart gas per day, distributed over an average of about fourteen daily farts!!!!

hmm thats really strange...

Ok now im just confused. I am sure that B and C have the same WLID because

1. When i signed in to bungie with this WLID it linked me with this GT B

2. Once when i was at a friends house i used the same WLID as B to recover GT C and it worked

So i dont know what the hell is going on. I actually think EntombedMoss has parental settings on which is why it cant go online, that or something else idk

Gamertags can have parental settings that prevent XBL Access, but that does not make them offline accounts.

Anyways, no, two gamertags cannot have the same WLID. So until you manage to look at the right place that says where each WLID is, I'm sorry but nobody is going to be able to help you.

I am being serious it IS the same WLID I even have proof but I agree I don't know what the -blam!- is going on if you ask me linking it shouldn't be so complicated but oh well I will just play on my linked account i guess

Yes, they can. I didn't know that either until recently, but I was a friend's house and his soon-to-be brothers-in-law recovered their tags to his console. When they try to recover the account, once they've given the WLID credentials, it prompts them to choose which gamertag to use. It's screwy, and I don't know how you do that, but it apparently can be done.

This here is what we call a Charlie Foxtrot. What I would suggest you do is create a new WLID, associate it with the gamertag you want to use, then create a new Bungie account with that WLID. May not be ideal, but it'll be the easiest solution.

  • 09.26.2011 1:57 PM PDT

That's right. There's also the Bravo Niner, but that one's classified.
