In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten
It would be great to help the forums, that is what every productive forum user wants.
But, I notice many people want the power mostly, rather than helping the site.
Power is fun and all but I can easily se many people here abusing it, which is why so many people make mod related threads and topics to try and get the mods attentions in hopes they can become mods or better their chances (which is unlikely).
But, I don't think many people consider how being a mod probably effects community interaction.
People treat diffrent people diffrently. Not saying it is a bad or good thing (up to interpretation) but you will be, that mod with Salmon text now.
But, the snacks thing was a joke and yes, Beer is more suitable.

What snacks? It's not like mods are paid employees, besides, I thought mods were given booze.
As for everything else you said, it's true for the most part. But there's also the accomplished feeling you get from being able to aid the community and that fuzzy feeling you get when you hear how people appreciate it.
Or maybe none of the latter happens here and it's hell on the forums for the mods. I doubt it though.

I find it funny so many people want to be mods.
I mean sure you get more power obviously and I hear the snacks are good but, it will be diffrent.
People will treat you diffrently, be it hate, rage, kissing up, etc.
My point is your experience on Bungie.net will change a lot and I think more people should consider the implications of in fact becoming a mod.
