Subject: Theory on the New Weapons in Reach

The carbine and beam rifle are for shipboard marines, while the new weapons are for dedicated invasion forces- same argument for the MA37 and M247.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

The Carbine and Beam Rifle are Covenant weapons. Not UNSC.

Anyways, during the invasion of Earth, how come these weapons did not show up. That theory dosent work.

No.

Here is a theory. Bungie decided that they wanted new weapons t expand the gameplay features for their new video game, so they created some new weapons.

Problem?

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Considering that human weapons haven't advanced far from what we got now and it's the 26th century...

In terms of firepower, pretty much your right. But does the Military have a Space navy? MAC cannons? Armor that actually works?

I wish the guns we used in the game were just like how they were in the books.

I'll be honest here, most of what I know of halo lore comes from halo nation so it's really condensed. But in space humanity has made great strides with MAC cannons, slipspace rupture, and Powered Armour.
But I think Powered Armour that actually works (besides halo) can go back to Metroid and Warhammer 40k.

My thoughts exactly, I don't really need to mention marathon if we have 2 universe's that predate it by a decade.

I think halo and marathon were heavily influenced by 40k since the UESC and the unsc are influenced by the Imperium of Man. Spartans directly influenced by Space Marines.
covenant and Phor by the eldar and Tau.
Flood by the tyrannids.
