Subject: What is this?

Well, I got on today and appearently I have been banned for 3 days. I researched further and it turns out my brother got himself banned on our computer. So I get banned? I wouldn't mind as much, but I'm pretty sure that I lost my prefixes as well. I actually care about these, because regardless of what Bungie wants, people with prefixes are respected as it shows no bans and that you've been on a while. I was about to get honorable(again). When I'd Bungie put this in? Never heard of it before considering all the John Cena remakes. So will I be reset and wait another year for honorable or does it not affect this?

If your wondering how I typed this I made an alt and got on it with my tablet computer.

Make sure your "brother" doesn't get on your account again.

He wasn't on my account he was on his.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

I've been banned. I still have prefixes. I am not respected.

I am highly doubtfull that your entire title would be reset. I was once a Noble member, and when I was banned, I became an Honorable member. So bans only affect certain prefixes.

And you really should worry about your title.

Totally believable, especially because you're currently using an alt account to post this.

Anyway, you're right -- the autoban for ban evasion is a relatively new feature. It's only been on the site for, maybe, 6-7 years or so.

Well, you and your brother were using the same machine. It would only make sense if that you both learn the understanding why you were banned, and learn not to make the same mistake again in near future reference.

For more information, please read the rules. If you feel that the ban have been applied unjustified, please contact the moderator or Master moderator. (Be polite and calm, explain the situation, and they will review over your ban and decided about it)

I know it sounds bad, but it's true.

One of the rules in no being a jerk.

I was asking a question, maybe you skipped over it, will I lose my prefixes?

I've actually been wrongly banned by that system before. Not saying it wasn't right this time, though.

Changing topic aren't we? Well you can ask that question in the F.A.Q. Thread about member titles and prefixes.

Check the last sentence in my first paragraph, I'm not changing the subject.

Ah yes, when The Soul went rampant. Good times (unless you were in his way I guess).

OT: If your brother was banned and if he had signed in on that computer at some point, then you will also receive a soul ban. We can't see the difference between someone being banned because they're using alts and someone being banned who uses the machine along with other people. Its just part of the system. Nothing is likely to be done to change it.

So, tell your brother not to get banned anymore if you don't want this to happen again.

Glad to see not all mods are smart asses, thanks for the info. He won't be getting on here anymore.

I read the entire OP, but I simply chose to respond to the question you asked in your post that is not already answered by the largest and most active thread in this forum, clearly visible at the top of the Top Forum Topics.

If all you care about is your member title loss, then kindly direct youself over to the member title thread and we can go ahead and lock this up.
