Subject: Bungie Fest 2012. Gnop-Tiger, the ultimate Bungie Day. :D idea

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Before you ask, I looked up at the seacrh bar: Didn't see other threads

I think it's time to bring back Bungiefest!

Halo fest was a huge sucsess and I think a Bungie fest would be a huge sucsess also. Rooster teeth even does fan fests like every year and many people show up.

I seriously think Bungie should make a small festival of sorts with. 3 days in length.

The theme:
Past, present, Future
Past: Gnop-Marathon/Oni
Present: Halo-halo end
Future: project tiger

Somthing along those lines, like Bungie booths, games set up for Myth, Oni, Marathon, Desert Storm, Gnop, Pathways, Halo 1, 2, 3, ODST, Reach etc.

Bungie booths every day where they talk about what they have done, the future, and sign things.

I was also thinking costume contests and torunaments.

And, hopefully a sneak peak into Project tiger ike an early gameplay trailer.

What do you guys think and would you go?

(sorry for spelling, on IE right now).

Yes, I did make that mess. What are you going to do about it?

I like the way you think and I like the ideas, but I think it would happen.

Half Man.
Half Horse.
Half Machine.
All "Jerk Who's Really Bad at Math."

PS
No, I do not want to join your clan/group.

I'd love to go, provided it was within a reasonable distance; if it's going to be in Washington at/near their studio, that's somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,400 miles.

Only after we ban Bricypoo.

They need to host one in South Bend, Indiana. Then I could go...

Sounds pretty legit. I would go, even though I live in Central US (Oklahoma). It would give a chance for Bungie fans who haven't played their first few games to play them and see what they are like.

Yeah, and with a lot of people at once.

It would be so cool to like play Myth with fuill teams of people and Marathon on computers they were made for with full teams.

But, I think Bungie could have a good festival, just look at Blizz-con.

I just saw a green monkey nut shot a small tan lizard(?) in a gunny sack.

The only feasible part of that would be to talk about their new stuff. I don't see the point of going to hear about their past accomplishments when we're all already aware of it, not to mention I don't see a great appeal to play their older games library. Maybe after they go multi-platform and have a more successful library of games, then it won't appear as if they're leeching off of Halo's success.

What the heck are you talking about? Did you just insert a standardized anti-Bungie rant at the end of your post for no reason?

It's not "leeching" if you made it.

That's like accusing me of "leeching" off on the place I work at.

No, what I'm saying is that unless Bungie has a larger library of games to showcase, it'll appear as if they're trying to relive the glory days of Halo, Myth, Marathon, etc. Bungie is obviously moving past their Halo days, a Bungiefest would give the opposite impression, in my opinion.

But it would appear to be leeching if you made it, decided to hand over control of it to another company and move on to new ventures, then have a showcase event in which Halo is a big part.

XBL Ambassador, Graphic Designer, Maker of Halo panoramas and full 360 degree views. Halo Panoramas

this Bungie Fest sounds like Halo Fest.... Bungie doesn't do Halo anymore, so why have a 3 day activity pretty much based on it?

One of the activities should be:
The Power of Ginger - Urk's exploits.

Me gusta

This would be a fantastic way to prove that Bungie is the best not because of there games but because of there dedication to there fans.

Key

Why does everyone focus on Gnop! as if it was a huge thing? It was like a test of whether or not they could actually make a video game from my understanding. It's a Mac Pong port.

And, what skibur said, halo is in the past. Present is DESTINY (tiger is outdated silly face).

Past: Pathways of Darkness - Halo

Present: Destiny

Future: Partnership with Activision

Blaming your spelling on an internet browser? That's a new one. Anyway, stop obsessing over Bungie, think about what you are actually saying and get a life.

Please discuss and thank you.

Make successful game franchise = leeching off said franchises success.

Not read what I actually said=not understand my point.

O I C

Bungie no longer manages Halo, nor will they make any Halo games. There's absolutely no point in doing anything in which Halo is involved because they'll be doing nothing more than reliving past success instead of focusing on future projects.
