Not read what I actually said=not understand my point.

O I C

I comprehended what you said. You said "then it won't appear as if they're leeching off of Halo's success". I responded that they aren't. If this was sarcasm, it was not well conveyed in my opinion. If not, I stand by my point.

So basically you said that you understand that I said it would appear to be leeching, yet still told me it wouldn't be. All you did reiterate my own point back at me. Congratulations.

No... I said I understand that you SAID it would appear to be leeching and I said that it wouldn't APPEAR to be leeching. Anyway, this is getting off topic. Back to main topic.

and "pro" is a term used for people who make money at what they do like a professional baseball player like albert pujols

i <3 science cookies

It would be like woodstock. Except with nerds instead of hippies. And instead of performers they would have tournaments. And instead of weed....ok no comment...but there would be lots of younglings asking their mommies for sandwiches instead :D

Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All men are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets his fear overcome his sense of duty. Duty is the essence of manhood.
-George S. Patton

I like the way you think and I like the ideas, but I think it would happen.

Yes, it would appear to be that way. You're still missing my point. Pay attention carefully now:

Bungie has nothing to do with Halo now. They've willingly handed it over to others so that they can move on to new projects and a new future. Now, knowing that, why else would they hold a 'fest' in which Halo is a big part if not to capitalize on its success, or at least use it as a crutch to attract people? Not to say they would, because we all know they wouldn't, but that's not to say others will criticize them for it.

Blizzard a -blam!- leeches! Diablo 2 has been at their Fests/Cons for 12 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!! BUNGIE DONT EVER SUPPORT YOUR OLD GAMES!

Please no flaming of various companies of whom obviously have no importance in this particular thread minutely or at all.
On to the topic at hand: I would agree with my fellow forum goers in such: Bungie needs no focus on Halo, but on the future of their company. Obviously they could show a little halo game here or there and maybe Marathon and Myth as well but not where they flood the fest. I would like to see a fest where it is organized in sections like their website: A place for the floodians, community, universe, etc. Either in panels or in activities. I would also, as does everyone here, like have some form of information to give us a just a minute taste of Destiny.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Bungiefest sounds like a rip off of Halofest. It should be called The Great Bungie Extravaganza! Also, you're missing a few games.

This is how it should be set up. You get into a ride and you go down the hall of Bungie. It shows people in glass cases or cages playing old Bungie games such as Gnop and Myth. Bungie Employees like Stosh or Jerome or your tour guides, taking you on an even deeper level of Bungie history. And at the end, they show you Tiger. or Destiny. Whatever.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

It's what they're best known for and if you're going to have panels about the "past" of bungie and you omit Halo it doesn't make sense.
