His is the only version, is it not?

Also, (again), Planet of The Apes (1968) With Charlton Heston is an amazing film, and a stepping stone for Science Fiction. I highly suggest you all see it. It's a Sci-Fi classic and a four star film. Not only is it Sci-Fi though, it has a great moral about the world of today( or yesterday).

I was supprised that Erik Flint (1632, Pyramid Sceme), Rick Shelley (Officer Cadet series), and Harry Turtledove (Guns of the South) weren't included in the lists. Maybe that stuff is to old school for a lot of people. IF you can find it, The Road Not Taken (Turtledove) is a great short story that presents some interesting ideas about first contact and the turn it might take. Also the lack of the Puppet Masters (Heinlein) on the list was interesting since they resemble the Flood so much.

Most marriage is based on love. If two people really love each other, gender should have no baring at all.

Brains beats brawn get used to it

Fear the Red Comet

Variety is the spice of life.
Long live games.
Death to all fanboys.

Soldier was a had a kinda good story, wasn't great, but I liked it a lot. In the begining of that though it seemed as if the story's main character, Todd, went through what John did in Halo:Fall of Reach. They were both taken away at a young age and trained to become the elite soldiers of their outfit. It's just that Todd's training was more barbaric in terms of their policy on hostages.

Personally I am disgusted at the fact that only alot of you (note the lack of the words 'all of you') mentioned Ender's Game, the saga or any and all of the Shadow series but those of you who did, I would like to congradulate everyone would did pick one of these awesomely awesome books on their awesome choices of awesomeness, they were awesome. Personally, I own the whole saga and I have read all of the Shadow books except for Shadow of the Giant due the undeniable 'CURSE OF THE LIBRARY WAITING LIST!!!!'

Awesome.

OK, dont judge me by this...

I read Ender's Game, and I liked it, but it was really not THAT GOOD. I respect the opinions of those who worship it like the guy above me, its not really that good. Its slow and boring to a minimal extent of corse, and has a crappy ending. If this is your ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE BOOK then you need to read more sci-fi. I dont know if this counts, but personally I like "He Who Shrank", which is a short story, but kinda creeped me out, which is good for sci-fi.

First of all, I apologise for sounding just a wee bit fanatical, but in response to Broom's judgement of me, I couldn't read more sci-fi if I tried (well I could but you get the point) plus not once did I say Ender's Game was my favourite book, even though, in my opinion (you know that thing I'm entitled to) it's one of the better books I've read, I know not everyone may like thay but it's my opinion, and just like Broom mentioned you gotta respect that.

NOTE: My favourite book is probably more along the line of Battlefield Earth by L. Ron Hubbard (you know that book that was completly massacred by John Travolta) whih was 1050 pages that were in my opinion (there's that word again) completely worth my time.
