He didn't finnish the clip, so there was still a bullet in the chamber. Therefore he did not have to c ock the rifle after reloading as it already had a bullet in the breach. (I think)

Yeah, you don't have to -blam!- the rifle. *snicker* -blam!-?

If you notice the Battle Rifle has 36 bullets per clip.

*sigh*
These aren't normal guns guys. First of all if you read the manual for Halo: CE it specifically says CASELESS ammo. This means that you don't have to -blam!- a gun to remove a case anymore so the bullets are automatically put in through springs etc.

Actually there were no caseless guns in Halo, and the only caseless gun that has been announced for Halo 2 is the SMG. Besides, you'd still have to pull the charging handle to load the next round of the fresh magazine into the chamber even if it was firing caseless rounds.

They assault rifle was too if I remember correctly (I'm speaking of Halo not Halo 2) The progession of the weapons would suggest that the Battle rifle would be caseless too. Since I don't see cases coming from it.

Abolition, the assault rifle from Halo 1 is definitely not caseless - it doesn't say so in the manual and in-game the bullet casings are ejected, something that obviously doesn't happen with caseless weapons.

The only real life caseless gun I know of is here:

well.. maybe.. but remember, these guns are in the year...uhhh(cant remember right now) but it is a long way into the future. And as of now, the US military has a prototype for a new workhorse rifle.. it calculates the distance to target and shows the soldier a reticle of where the bullet will actually impact.. so the soldier can discount the target distance, wind velocity, gravatical effects on the discharge, and a lot more..

the interesting thing is... without the computer on the top.. it looks a hell of a lot like the Halo2 battlerifle

sorry if this wanders off topic just a litle bit.. but what i was tryin to say was that you may not have to recharge the rifle.. wait a minute.. it is a boltaction isnt it... darnit .. (probably does tho... just that the animation isnt complete or something)
