Ea is probaly busier than bungie. They make multiple games at a time.
Ea is a publiser not a developer like Bungie they have in house studios do all the work they just put the logo on the game to make it sell. Criterion developed Burnout 3 Ea published it.

Forget Ninja Gaiden...Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow...Chronicles of Riddick...how about Burnout 3: Takedown!? This is the best Racing game Ive ever played and I believe it is to racing what Halo is to FPS. Not only is it quite possibily the best racing game ever, but the quality and production values are sky high! It plays very smooth on XBOX Live and nothing is more satisfying than playing a game of Road Rage, Takedown, or Party Crash. Congrats EA on an excellent game and quite possibily one of the best contenders for the GOTY. Ok...who am I kidding? This game wont touch Halo 2. Nothing will. =)

I must attest: Burnout 3 is the -blam!-

Note: That doesn't mean it's in the same realm as Halo 2, but it definitely is my recommendation as the game that'll last you until the 9th. No doubt about that

I've heard nothing but good things about B3. I think I may have to try it.
I might as well try Halo while I'm at it.

First of all, EA is a publisher, not a developer; EA is to Criterion as Microsoft is to Bungie.

Secondly, Criterion has done a superb job of creating an exciting, gorgeous, addictive racing game. Which means even more coming from someone who absolutely loathes racing games. At this point, it is my opinion that Burnout 3 should have an edge over Fable, and while all I can really do is speculate, (as Fable's street date is still three days off) Burnout 3 has done more to distinguish itself in its genre as well as breaking across additional genres and predetermined guidelines. It seems to me that Fable will take a tried and true recipe and conservatively expand on certain aspects. I don't doubt Fable is a great game, and I hope it is as I've already bought it, I just don't see it earning, well, at least deserving GOTY.

No, I'm not a Burnout 3 fan boy and no, I'm not a Fable hater (as I've already mentioned I've preordered it and am actually pretty excited about its pending release), I'm simply giving credit where credit's deserved.

Long story short, Burnout 3 is a great game. With any luck Fable will be too. It's my opinion, at this point and time that Burnout 3 should have a better chance against Halo 2 as a GOTY contender.

On a side note, Burnout 2 is certainly worth the $20 bucks, provided you can find it.

Edit: It seems TODD beat me to the Developer versus Publisher issue...
