You need to download the latest drivers for the card; check out Radeon's site, and download the latest "catalyst"driver... ths link is:

http://www.ati.com/support/driver.htm

Halo requires DirectX 9.0; this card supports DX 9.0, but it doesn't make use of all its features (it's really not a gaming card). I used to have a Radeon 9200se, but switched because I couldn't turn on most of the eye candy in Halo without major choppiness and slowdown. You can play the game in low res without much of the effects turned on, and it's OK.

The 9200 (i only have pci :( ) isnt terrible though...not compared to the se...
Note, so that you dont have to poke around:
Invisibility-doesnt work...makes you the color of the sky or (indoors) a wall
Scope-blurry...like it took a picture of the normal (1x) zoom and then used photoshop or paint to zoom in...really crappy
There is one way that i know of to solve this...
C:\....\halo\config
ctrl+f
9200
go down to where the words start and add DisableRenderTargets
it should look a bit like this:
ForceShader=14
MinMaxBlendOpIsBroken
DisableRenderTargets
UseAlternateConvolveMask

Note on the fix: Specular is screwy...i like it better, others do not...it looks very very bright...the only way i know of to fix this is to disable specular...also, this appears to lag stuff up a bit, so (indoors) i always have to turn it off...
