In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

It is server lag.

Bungie.net runs on a few different servers. They aren't all in sync. So when, say, a locked thread happens on one, it doesn't happen immediately on all of the others. Just like how if you see a user the second he's banned? Sometimes after refreshing the page you'll still see his post (which hasn't been hidden yet) because not all the servers recognize him as banned yet.

It's also why sometimes in the past there have been glitches with Bungie.net that pop up only sometimes- because only one or two of the servers have the issue.

lol no it isn't. I could post in a locked thread a day after it's locked.

What, LOL?

That is odd, must be a glitch.

I do know that server lag can allow you to post in a locked thread sometimes.

I can only do it once though... It's like stopping a speeding bullet. Normal humans (BNet forumgoers ) can stop a bullet (post in locked threads) once but Superman (Achronos and other mods) can do it many times.

Bungie.Match.com: Our Johnson knows what the ladies like.

It's not server lag. Some people have posted in a locked thread over 30 minutes after its lock.

Also, some people seem to have this ability, while others don't. For example, I can't post in locked topics at all, while Crazzysnipe seems to possess this ability.

All teh cookies.

1 huggle.

Just duplicate the tab with the thread you want to post in and use the reply button in each. This must be done before it is locked however.

"Just as the wave cannot exist for itself, but is ever a part of the heaving surface of the ocean, so must I never live my life for itself, but always in the experience which is going on around me.” - Albert Schweitzer

There have been times in the past where I have posted in a locked thread by accident, and received a ban for it. I never quite understood why I got banned, but all I remember is that it is very rare for someone to do so (post in a locked thread, that is).

The reason being that if you are typing a post reply---like I am now---and submit it after the thread has been locked you will automatically be redirected to a page informing you that there was an error with the server.

I believe the only way it is possible for someone to successfully post after the thread has been locked is if you submit your post a just a few seconds before someone locks the thread.

Now, with that said, I do not encourage to reply to a thread if you have the feeling it might be locked. The reason for that is because you will not only be posting after the thread has been shut down, but you will also be contributing to a thread that is in some way, shape, or form, breaking the rules.

Agreed. I've only ever done it A) to show an example when someone asked how it was done or B) on accident.
