Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,

-Omar Khayyám-

Hey though we can point fingers at everyone else, it comes down whether or not we should tolerate it by being logged in and dealing with the possibility of the next response will be some twelve year old kid trying to use percieved intellectual fallacies, really their own biased and unintelligent opinions, to "troll" us.

Just log off if you don't want to deal with it.
The web team is bored from keeping secrets about Bungie's newest IP and Achronos, obviously, wants to have some fun so what to do other than come on and "ruffle our feathers." He is having his fun and so are other members.

I am sorry for your grief about the "trolling" on the forums but all I can say is DEAL WITH IT! We all have to handle "trolls," you are no different fellow member, grow a pair and continue on. Thank you all and I shall end my rant here.

Thank you for listening to me and I hope the thread goes on topic and no more flames shall burst forth...unless Achronos wants to give us flames then I shall get my super soaker.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

Surely Achronos will ban himself as punishment for his wrong doings?

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

Actually, I could argue against this by saying that's the reason we can have nice things. Other game developers aren't like this, they don't joke with their community the way Bungie does. I laughed when I saw what Achronos posted as a reply to this thread and you know what? That makes me happy.

Yes it was, he bypassed the curse filter which is against the rules and then banned himself.

Dianna Agron is the epitome of perfection.

Quinntology.

Oh I get it, it's funny because it's not true but at the same time it is true. So it's both sarcasm and seriousness at the same time?

You're a funny man. I applaud you. If only your sarcastic serious thread was just serious. Sigh.

Their trolling has gotten a lot worse since they removed the ability for Forum Ninjas to ban employees. Now that evilcam's back, they should count themselves lucky. He used to bring the pain to the employees on a regular basis.

Sir I have my super soaker at the ready to dose your attempt at flame. What you have replied with is falliable content. What I said was for people to stop complaining about Bungie employees trolling. Yes, I did talk about younger members "trolling" but really it all depends on whether you want to deal with the "troll" or move on. But anyway, please good sir I need some Headlight Fluid and Elbow Grease...Name brand too. Headlight Fluid by the CockBiting -blam!-tards and the Elbow Grease by Arm & Hammer.

They maybe starting something, but I don't think that its their fault to how the community reacts to it.

... I didn't flame you. Does anyone know what the words "troll" and "flame" mean now a days?

I responded to you with hyperboles to emphasize my obvious feeling towards your post. There was no flaming involved at all. Way to try to be funny though... I guess it kinda worked...

I apologize good sir, to reason my action of calling your response a flame I must expound that I have been dealing with people complaining about "internet trolls" all day, so my nerves were pretty much gone when I read your response. But really, it comes down to what you are willing to deal with when reading "troll" posts. I say deal with it and continue on and not read it, you say we should have better moderation. Many are just giddy with excitement about Bungie's IP, but are bored about waiting so to create excitement, people troll. Oh well...

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I think OP is jelly he can't post funny pictures.

I could totally write a userscript to fix that little probl

I really hope this whole thread was a joke.
Why? They are being totally abusive of the system which glorifies rule breaking from the employees, claiming it was "for teh lulz" and demonizes the same practice done by those who are of a lower "rank" as it were.
I'd do the same thing...I'm sure we all would, or at least be tempted to...ya know...it is their party and they can do what they want, to use your words.

Honestly I myself have rarely seen employees troll worthwhile threads, usually I see some honest input or a little -blam!- tease of some info...

I really think the gold text and the impulse to quote it is what really derails threads they post in, not necessarily the words they type. All I know for sure is that I couldn't care less...I'd be honored if Achronos would grace a thread I created with a picture of some cute kittens.

I could not agree with you more, Achilles1108. I believe members of this community find it acceptable to complain about 'trolls' (we have got to come up with a more civilized word) when they let it happen right under their noses. If it were not for the quote fest that follows after an employee posts, I would say that people are not aware of what they are actually saying.

For example, when an employee posts a picture followed by a clever utterance, people brush that off as another one for the hilarity books. What they are not aware of is that members of this community, whether old or new, will mimic the behavior of someone they believe to be of authority.

They gripe over actions such as this when a non-employee (or 'Member') performs them, and in some cases find it necessary to create a thread regarding the instant. However, these members are not aware of the fact that employees implement these behaviors through their posts.

To summarize, if the employees encourage us not to act a particular way, they should not act that way themselves. And for all of those people who believe it is okay for an employee to do it simply because they run this website, they are sorely mistaken. Employees should act how they wish for us to act. Otherwise, they are just hypocrites.

ISU Cyclones!

Well it's no good to be too far to one extreme or the other when it comes to how they interact... but that said I do like Bungie more than any other developer because of their tendency to be closer to the, "screwing around with the community" side rather than the, "don't interact at all" side.

I don't mind it. I see it as fun way to interact. Stupid forum members being stupid will never be fixed. I don't wanna sacrifice that extra mile of interaction Bungie does for us in the hope that the forums will clean themselves up a bit.

My opinion on that.

As a mature individual, I would have no problem "just dealing with it." No language should ever be censored and as far as the posting of less than pleasing pictures, that's what the report button is for. But hey, that's just me.

See, Bungie owns the site, they make the rules.

What are you gonna do you know?

I guess you could like call Jason Jones and say Achronos is being a meanie and Jason will take 1 of his 5 monitors away.

But, that won't happen and I thought the picture was funny.
