If I get the enemies shields down, and then some jerk jumps in to assassinate them, I will yoink. If they get the assassination before I got the shields down I don't. Doing it on purpose (double beat down etc) to annoy someone else just proves that you're immature.

S.A.A.

SAAKILLER is pronounced: S.A.A.KILLER

I do in-fact betray. Why? I have every right to my own kill. Well if the guy and I are on a 1v1 battle and he makes a mistake and turns his back to me. I'm gonna assassinate. Why? Because there's this commendation that people rarely get to onyx legitly and I want to get it and assassinations are humiliating. Selfish people steal other people's kill to improve their own K/D, so I betray them to even it out. If I put work into killing an enemy, a teammate that was camping doesn't have any right to take my kill. Anyone could easily just camp with a dmr and wait for people to be one-shot.

Think of it like this: If I pay money for a burger. I pick it up and am about to put it in my mouth. Nobody can just come in, grab the burger out of my hand before it's in my mouth and say, 'well, it wasn't in your mouth so anyone can still take it, or YOUR NAME WAZNT ON DA BURGER" I walked to the store, payed for the burger (effort) and was about to eat it. It's still mine even if it wasn't in my mouth yet. If I die, then someone else can take the burger, but I didn't die. So it's mine.

Yoinks were meant for Free For All.

An enemy will steal your food if he needs to. Friends don't steal your food though.

"The Septagon symbolizes all that is right in the multiplayer world. A few million men and women, bound by honor, Bungie, and celebratory crouching."

No. I will let them have the kill. Unless I don't like them.

I Yoink my friends because it's fun that way and we won't boot each other if we betray each other. Otherwise if it's a random, I don't intentionally Yoink them. And I only betray if someone purposely Yoinks me, like this guy once, who waited for me to stab the enemy (which drops the enemy's shields) and as I finish the assassination he just hits the enemy. Made me very angry. >:(

And I ended up betraying the wrong guy, because he and his friend had the exact same Service Tag and they both wore blue flames. But thanks to the crappy boot system, I didn't get booted. :)

pretty much agree with that whole statement

sigh "kill stealing".

Yes, I yoink to get my own kills and shrug it off when I get yoinked. I dont feel a sense of self entitlement to a kill that hasnt been gotten yet.

We Surround Them!

I only have 49 Yoinks in Competitive and 3 in Invasion. I try not to Yoink anyone, except friends when we're messing around. I'd say 75% of mine have been accidental ... sticking a grenade to an enemy just prior to a teammate going for the assassination ... or scoped-in on a headshot and not seeing someone else going for the assassination.

ye ai get what you mean. there is no *my kill* but when you do all the work to lower their shields and someone else lets off one bullet for the kill.. then thats jus tkinda lame to the person who felt as if it were stolen

  • 10.23.2011 3:29 PM PDT

Only if its every man for himself like Rumble Pit. If its a teamate, unless they are an annoyance or brag too much, I let them have their kill. All my team Yoinks are usually accidents.

  • 10.23.2011 3:47 PM PDT

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

I never yoink and the ones I have are all accidents. When I see a teammate assassinating an enemy, I already feel that the kill is rightfully his/hers. Then I either enjoy the animation or leave knowing my partner won't be showstopped.

I wanna know where kids got this feeling of self entitlement to kills.

There is no such thing as kill stealing and there never was.

I want to know where kids in my generation feel entitled to anything (millenials). Hate my generation.

-blam!- that! Humans are bastards, generally. I hate a good 90% of them.

Yes.

When I get yoinked, IDGAF.
