Please start doing the Bungie weekly updates again, I miss them dearly. BWU was the most anticipated part of my week, I literally feel like my life has slowly been falling apart since you left me in the dark. Sad face. Make me complete again.

You know they are creative enough to woo us with their words and pretty much not update us on anything.

aug 2012

During WW2 there were blackout policies in effect, meaning that during nighttime every house had to have its lights completely hidden by blackout curtains so that enemy bombers couldn't pick out a city by its lights.

I have a hunch that Bungie is in its blackout period. Their project is still being weaned, and they don't want any leaks, that could affect the project negatively and they want total focus.

Their project hasn't been revealed yet and until it is There probably won't be many more weekly updates.

For the most part the weekly updates had to do with development of the games and Bungie as a company ( among other halo community aspects ).

Now that they can't really talk about their new IP, having the weekly updates would make them watered down with other side subjects, and now that Halo is in the realm of 343, even more so.

Better to let something die while it's still good then to let it limp on and lose its credibility.

Don't think it's going to happen. Bungie is busy, let them be.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

Right now a BWU would essentially be an "Urk-Blog".

Complete with rants about Seattle traffic, weather, dining and how he is personally increasing the ginger population.

Exciting stuff no doubt, but likely to draw tons of gamer nerd-rage.

An "Urk-Blog" huh? Isn't that pretty much what it has been since he took over?

I think he had a format to follow:

Step 1: Anecdote that only I find funny.
Step 2: Allude to something that we don't plan on revealing.
Step 3: Post a crap load of pointless pictures.
Step 4: Label such pictures to that Recon stares at it for days expecting something to happen.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

Thats a little sad, OP. Seriously.

I stopped reading them over a year ago. In fact, I just recently realized their absence.

I doubt they'd start up again next month. Next year is probably the earliest, I think.
