During WW2 there were blackout policies in effect, meaning that during nighttime every house had to have its lights completely hidden by blackout curtains so that enemy bombers couldn't pick out a city by its lights.
I have a hunch that Bungie is in its blackout period. Their project is still being weaned, and they don't want any leaks, that could affect the project negatively and they want total focus.
Their project hasn't been revealed yet and until it is There probably won't be many more weekly updates.
For the most part the weekly updates had to do with development of the games and Bungie as a company ( among other halo community aspects ).
Now that they can't really talk about their new IP, having the weekly updates would make them watered down with other side subjects, and now that Halo is in the realm of 343, even more so.
Better to let something die while it's still good then to let it limp on and lose its credibility.
