Industrial Strength , No Brain Required.

Everything began when my father bought the pack with Xbox, Halo IT and Midtown Madness 2 has my birthday(anniversary) for my 11 years.

I played first Midtown Madness (racing game) during long month, then I tried Halo CE. It was my first FPS, so I played very badly, I was disgusted. I left this game and continued playing on other games.

After a while, I said that I had to finish this it godamned game.

I played until the level AOCR then I met Floods for the first time: I was terrorised.

I blocked on this level a long time, and I played hundreds of time the level AOCR: I began to like this game although the continuation frightened me.

Some weeks later, I wanted to end this game good time for quite, I have played in the middle of the night, and when I finished the game I was satisfied, but also fascinated by the mysterious end of Halo CE.

I became a fan, by imagining me to kill thousands of covenants, I dreamed about Halo during the nights and days, and my friends were talking about it a lot (ah good ol' times!) Masterchief became my favorite superhero while I had never liked superhero:

I was impatient to see the continuation.

Years passes and the excellent games of Bungie continued : halo 2, Halo 3 (I still remember myself of my first reaction of my first hour of game on Halo 3: WHaoo!).

Then Bungie takes(brings) out ODST, I appreciated well, then Reach showed me the Universe Halo with another point of view, darker, more sad, but so poignant.

In the end, never a saga made me live so many feelings: of the crash of Autumn, the alliance with Sangheilis, death of Johnson and disappearance of MC.

Halo, four letters which will make me dream always so much.

Thank you Bungie, thanks to this extraordinary community, thanks to have made me live so many extraordinary adventures.

One of your most hardcore fan =)

PS: Yes, this translator really sucks, and my english needs to be improved.

I doubt if this is a topic that should be present in this forum or the flood.

Anyvvay for me it started at the age of 11 in 2005, I vvas getting bored of the amount of RPGs I ovvned and Mech VVarior 2 didn't run on my pc anymore (disk vvas scratched thanks to my sister), I asked a friend of mine if he knevv any good FPSs that aren't the same old boring vvar simulators, thats vvhen I first heard about Halo. I first dovvnloaded the demo and vvas fascinated by that single level, the mystery, the setting, the feeling, it vvas hypnotizing. After 2 days I vvent to the only game store in tovvn (novv broke since renting games became illegal in my country, and thats vvhat gave him most of his money) and I ordered a copy of Halo for PC (since I already had a gamecube and my parents don't knovv -blam!- about technology, you get the point) The campaign vvas fun and after a vvhile I started playing the MP, it didn't took long or I discovered there vvas a sequel, but being 11 and getting a very vveak allovvence made it impossible for me to buy a XBOX.

I did hovvever get multiple chances playing H2, my older sister (there is a generation(20 years) betvveen her and my younger brother) had a boyfriend that happened to ovvn an xbox (age vvas 12.5 here) and he brought me in touch vvith stores that let me play games on there consoles for a very lovv amount of money, I played some lan parties vvith these people and got even more addicted to the Halo series even though it vvas only 2 games back then.

Around 2007 my allovvence ( high for someone my age) vvas big enough to easily save up for an xbox 360, it got even better vvhen a store got its 10 year anniversary so everything had a lovver price. Unfortunately it vvas still 5 vveeks avvay from the release of H3, and pre-ordering vvas a myth to me.
So I hired some games from the local stores (the irony is that 3 months after this, hiring vvould become illegal in my country) but none gave the feel Halo gave me.

VVhen I finnally got my hands on H3, I had one big problem.
No harddrive or internet connection. Of course Christmas vvas not fare avvay and I got it rather easily.
I played H3 for a long time (over 4000 custom games) and found it a fun and challenging game.

VVhen the Halo 3 ODST trailer released I vvas psyched, in the end I vvas not dissapointed. I found it a great game.

Then Halo Reach, this game proved to me that Bungie didn't give a single thing about the series. And vvhen I heard 343 is going to take over, I vvas actually glad.
I still play Reach today but I find it a disgrace for the original trilogy.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I started playing Halo, back in 2003 (I was 9) when I went on vacation back to the US to visit my brother and father. I got a Gamecube as present with Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros Melee. During that, my brother had the Xbox, and he made me play a game called Halo.

We played Co-Op on Legendary straight off. As you can imagine, I got annihilated the first couple of times, but then I started getting really good fast. Then I kept on playing Heroic by myself, and when I reached the Flood, I was so scared off them, I couldint keep on playing and stopped there.

Almost a year later, my brother moved with me to Spain, and I managed to finish Halo CE. I was still terrorized of Two Betrayals, but managed to push on through and complete the game. Soon after, I bought my own Xbox along with Halo CE, Halo 2 and Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack Disk. Beat Halo 2, and started playing system link with my brother on Halo 2. I had never played a games campaign so many times

After that, years later, I moved to the US in December '07, and got an Xbox 360 for xmas, and with the money I got, I bought Halo 3 Limited Edition. It seemed that from playing so much Halo CE and Halo 2 campaign, multiplayer was really easy for me.

Later on Halo 3 ODST came out, and I was extremly pumped since we got to play as ODST's (My favorite fictional characters at the moment) and because of Firefight. I ended up reserving the game, and had to take the bus, and spent 14 euros alone on the bus ride to the north and back home. I got home, popped that -blam!- in played straight on Legendary. I got Endure the next day with some friends, it was pretty easy for us. I absolutely loved ODST, since it felt so much like CE and the music and atmosphere created was amazing. I always wanted a Halo game set in a city, and Bungie had delivered. ODST is currently my second favorite Halo game of all time.

Then came Halo Reach. I was unbelievably pumped for it thanks to the VGA trailer and since the game was going to take place on Reach. The VGA trailer was amazing and the later GI article was even better. I was on the Reach Forum pulling all nighters, arguing and discussing all the aspects of the trailer and article. I was part of those who defended that Noble Team were Spartan III's, which later turned out to be true. I was so happy we were able to play as SIII's (Currently my favorite fictional character). I wasent able to afford the game when it came out, so one of my best friends that lived in California did me the huge favor of reserving the game, and sending it over to Spain the day it came out as a gift. The day I got it, like a week later, I skipped school and played through the whole campaign with my brother, my friend from California and his brother. Later we played nothing but Invasion, since it was my friend and my favorite playlist. We dominated on Reach. I customized my armor to look like Carter, and my friend like Kat. The gameplay was solid, and I loved the multiplayer, but the campaign was a bitter dissapoinment for me. But it was my own fault, I hyped the game way to much. Then came the sad day when my mother and me couldint afford internet at my house anymore and I had to put down Xbox Live back in Feburary. To this day I still dont have internet and my xbox live ran out in March. Hopefully soon I can get it back just in time for Halo CEA.

Well, there's my story, I know it's long and stuff, but take notice I did not put in a lot of things, including Halo Wars and the Novels and that last week of Halo 2. Playing Halo 2 online that last week was the best games I had ever played in a Halo game. I miss it so much, and especially the maps. Most of my all time favorites are on Halo 2.

Halo for me has defined my gaming lifetime and is part of my childhood that I will always look back on and smile, and has grown onto me more than you would expect, and not for it simply being a game, but for the story it represents, I have great respect for Bungie.. For me, Halo is the ultimate gaming experience. I have been seriously thinking about getting the noble team emblem as a tattoo on my back left shoulder to represent my love and what Halo has meant for me. I might get it when I turn 18 in December.

I was seven when Halo CE came out, and my dad had received it for his birthday. We cleared through the campaign together and I always had friends over playing some multiplayer games.

We purchased Halo 2 when it came out and, like I was with Halo CE, I was in awe.

I only got my 360 last January, so I wasn't able to secure a copy of Halo 3 or ODST, but I have played them at friends' houses and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

I grew up around Halo, and no other video game series has captivated me for so long as the Halo series has.

Lord Admiral Shadow of the Special Warfare division 9

I personally cannot remember what age I was when my dad got Halo CE. I was a military typed gamer for most of my gamer life, when Halo CE came out, I wasnt really interested. Then my dad got it and I watched him play.

I liked its style. The way it played, the setting of the games world, the weaponry and the explosives. I tried it when my father went to sleep, I fell in love with it.

Afterwards, he started letting me play it. I played to the first flood level and pretty much stopped, terrified out of my mind. Sooner or later I triumphed (after finding out the flood werent so big and bad when Mr.Shotty was around >8D ). And kept playing through, eventually learning the flows and tides of the game, making me stronger and more effective against the enemy, a I went on through Normal and Heroic.

Legendary stopped me, but with my fathers help I beat Legendary and never looked back. While I never played online or multiplayer, I did become a battle hardenned veteran.

When I heard the fight wasnt over, and Halo 2 was coming, I quickly moved on the Limited edition version of it. Triumphed over it as well, beating legendary for fun, making Halo CE look harder (and it was). I managed some versus against my brother, losing all my battle's except for sword duels.

And then, the triumphs of Halo returned, with Halo 3, then ODST. I triumphed on Legendary for both games. Earning my rights as a true battle hardenned grizzly. LIVE came in on Halo 3, where I proved my prowess in battle, and with the BR.

And then, the great beast arrived, the beast of Halo:Reach arrived. I once again proved my prowess in battle over LIVE, proving my worth and showing my skill.

Halo has been my life and blood (next to the army), for as long as it has been out. It guided my life and made me a potent player and a very good sport.

Halo, you and I are one and the same, making each other stronger and better at the same time.

Back then, I was a Halo hater. I was a super Unreal Tournament fan. I considered it very "pro." One day, a new kid in school told me about a game called "Halo." I told him that I've heard of it and it probably sucked. Out of curiosity, I decided to download the Halo CE demo for the mac. I was an instant fan after playing it. I started playing multiplayer and it became ever more fun.

I had Halo downloaded into my desktop and one day, my computer needed to be cleaned up because of lack of memory. Halo was removed and I never got to play a Halo game again until early 2008, I bought an Xbox 360 along with Halo 3. I bought Halo 2 too so I could get into the story more. I continued buying ther spin-offs such as: Halo Wars and ODST.

The first Halo game I played ended up being the last one I bought. I finally bought a legit Halo CE for the original Xbox last year and finally was able to finish the full trilogy. Thank you, Bungie, for such an amazing game. Also, 343, I am looking forward to your anniversary release.

No, I do not want to join your clan/group.

I never had an original Xbox when CE was released so I never played Halo when it was new; I played Goldeneye religiously and I didn't understand what the big deal over Halo was. Since absolutely no one I knew owned an Xbox either, none of them could explain it to me either.

Halo 2 came and went and still I didn't know anything about Halo and neither did I care. I promised myself I'd never be so enthralled by any game series that I'd be one of the dorks waiting in line for a midnight release.

It was late 07 when I bought my 360 and after I got it set up and connected to XBL, I noticed Halo CE for download on the marketplace. I didn't have a game yet and the price was pretty cheap so I decided to go ahead and buy it. Maybe I'd understand all the hype at least a little, even if I was a few years late to the party.

I spent the rest of the night playing it.

Shortly afterwards I went out and bought the then-new Halo 3 to continue the adventure.

And despite my internal promise so many years earlier, I found myself waiting in line at midnight for both ODST and Reach.

Thus is my Halo experience.
