Subject: What happened to Jun?

THERE IS OVER 9000 HALO RINGS!!!!!!!!!!!

There is one thing that has always been on my mind ever since I finished the Campaign in Halo: Reach: what ever happened to Jun? I know that he must have been successful upon getting Dr. Halsey to CASTLE Base, but what about afterwards? I don't remember him ever being in First Strike if he was, which I am certain he was never mentioned in the novel. So let us generate possible conclusions of Jun's fate...

He's dead. Plenty of ways for that to happen.

Oh cmomn!
Not this -blam!- again!
Jun is mia(missing in action).
Well yeah, common sense tells me that he is dead but none of books, updates, games says this.
''JUN IS DEAD BIA''i''CHES!''
''i'' is a T
So yeah, he is mia till game, book, update tells us that he is dead.

I understand Jun is MIA, and most likely dead. I meant that the community could generate ideas on the SPECIFICS on Jun's fate, not the things we already know.

It was later confirmed that jun died defending halsey. and for the love of god he is not master cheif so don't even suggest such a stupid idea because i know some one will say that

That's not going to cut it. The mere fact he and the rest of Noble Team is on the Reach Memorial Statue sitting in New Alexandria in 2610 according to the extra content in the Legendary Edition of Reach kinda shows he's dead.

Wrong Spartan, but probably a similar scenario.

But that dosent necessarily mean that he died on Reach.

So where could he go? You've got Covenant controlling the skies, Covenant controlling Reach's orbit, and Covenant swarming CASTLE Base.

He is screwed 8 ways to Sunday.

Yeah, just don't let Jun near September, they had a falling out.

I don't mean to insult anyone, but I believe you are missing the point of this forum. I meant how he died. Did he fight to the death like Noble Six or Emile, or crash some Pelican into a Scarab (not the one that he rode with Dr. Halsey on). I understand the fact he is most likely dead, and is listed MIA no matter what, I merely meant how he actually died at the Covenant's hands on Reach. I am guessing he died at some jackal sniper's hand, which is ironic, before the rest of the Spartan-II's came to protect CASTLE Base and discover the Forerunner thing that tampers with Slipspace. That is my hypothesis. What is yours?

well yeah it could be that jun died defending Halsley or they went smack bang straight into a trap

First Strike might not mention it, but I will always imagine it to be as if he was them through it.

I think Jun probably died.

That isn't how it works.

When you think that you have it all is the moment that you can lose it. Don't think ahead if you can't think for the present.

You can never really tell with all the X factors surrounding him. For all we know, he could still be alive, despite the obviously overwhelming odds. He is a stealth unit, so sneaking around might have gotten him a ride aboard some covenant cruiser undetected, or found a stealth frigate loaded with Reach's officers that got them off the rock.

Did you just suggest he got on a Covenant cruiser undetected and somehow got back home? Really? The other scenario may sound believable, but with 314 Covenant cruisers of varying size, shape, and class, any craft is as good as dead.

  • 10.02.2011 7:36 PM PDT

Generalizations.
Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

He's technically MIA, and no one knows what happened to him. Since he escorted Halsey to Castle Base, he would have either:

1) Died en route to Castle Base
2) Died during the destruction of Castle Base
3) Escaped with other Spartans & Halsey into the mines under Castle Base and eventually rescued by John-117. (Chapter 2 & 3 of Halo: First Strike). This is really the only plausible way for him to have survived, and that's still a a stretch.

I know, I know. All I'm saying that having the statue on Reach dosent have to mean he died on Reach.

Noble Teams actions in New Alexandria were vital to it's evacuation. Saving hundreds, possibly thousands of lives.

That is a really good idea

im prettty sure that jun left noble squad to protect/ escort dr halsey, and i know tht their pelican (the one they left in)was never shot down, cuz dr halsey was still alive in the future halo timeline

  • 10.03.2011 9:53 PM PDT
