Much like the inbox of my first email account. Empty.
But spam has a purpose; a beautiful purpose. Spam has helped me learn to create alt email accounts to sign up for websites I know will abuse the information I give them. Spam has given me a reason to always make sure to read the boxes I check (and realize that I should uncheck most of them) when registering for websites.
However, the most important thing spam has taught me is how to filter irrelevant information. Despite there always being room for error since I'm using preconceived notions, spam has allowed me to see, just by the titles of things, whether or not they are worth perusing. In this forum, for example, if a member hasn't clearly established the point of his post within the first couple of sentences, it isn't worth reading; references to ran,k or k/d, or any sentence with the word "unfair" in it can be ignored; etc.
Spam has done all of these wonderful things; has transformed me from the naive child of the internet to the internet veteran you see before you (Thanks Spam!), and you want to get rid of it? For shame.
