Why hello there.

Does anyone read the privacy statement?

Oh hey, I don't know why you're reading this, but have fun.

Very good question.

"The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit,
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it."
-Omar Khayyám-

Pretty much stuff on WLID and updates regarding terms of id and privacy.

The privacy statement has actually altered, just not significantly. I attempted to post the previous version of the statement, but you'll have to forgive me as there was not enough room to do so. Thus, below I have listed the most considerable change from the old to the new.

The following is the introductory paragraph that you know now:

The Bungie Web sites consisting of Bungie.com, Bungie.net, "7th Column" and BungieStore.com (the "Bungie Web Sites") are operated by Bungie Inc. ("Bungie," "we" or "us") or its suppliers. We also provide applications for your mobile devices ("Bungie Mobile Apps") through which we offer various services (the "Bungie Mobile Services"). Additionally, we make various online services available through our games ("Bungie Game Services"). Together, we will refer to the Bungie Mobile Services, Bungie Game Services and Bungie Web Sites as the "Bungie Services" in this Privacy Statement. This Privacy Statement applies to the Bungie Services and describes what information we collect on them, as well as how we use and disclose such information. By using the Bungie Services, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Statement.

Now here is the previous introductory paragraph:

The Bungie Web sites consisting of Bungie.com, Bungie.net, "7th Column" and the Bungie Store are operated by Bungie Inc. or its suppliers (the "Bungie Web Sites"). This Privacy Statement applies to the Bungie Web Site you are currently viewing and describes what information is collected and used on this Web site. By using the Bungie Web Sites, you consent to the data practices described in this Statement.

As for actual, drastic content changes to the statement, there is no need for concern, as there really are none.

This should say it all:

Changes to this Statement

This Privacy Statement applies only to the Bungie Web Sites and not other companies or organizations to which we may provide links from this Web site. Bungie will occasionally update this Privacy Statement. When we do, we will also revise the "last updated" date at the top of the privacy statement. For material changes to this Statement, Bungie will notify you by placing prominent notice on the Web site. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Statement to be informed of how Bungie is protecting your information.

It is found in both versions. I have underlined my main point in my saying that there is no need for concern.

My guess is that the changes were conducted in thought of reading strain. It's a pain enough to read something long and boring, I'm certain they were just touching it up respectively. However, if this response is unsatisfactory, the statement does say you should contact Bungie about the statement if you have questions, so feel free to do so. I'd rather you enlighten yourself then risk ignorance. I'd rather have that for everyone ;)

Have a good one!

Regards,
Scotty

It was primarily updated to clarify that the privacy statement applies to not just our web site, but the games and mobile apps we manage as well.

I thought Steam Pirate mobile game is part of another company? Does that policy affect bungie as well, or the other company too?

Bungie also has it's own mobile app... They could be talking about that.
