Subject: Why are TU Beta stats listed as "Premium Slayer"?

Posted by: Achronos
The current public Halo Stats API is a Bungie.net service. It will likely remain available as long as Halo stats are available on bungie.net (it is simply another way to view stats through bungie.net, and depends on bungie.net's stats code to be working).

And, to the original topic - our site isn't broken. It is simply a view into the Reach stats database. We can only display what is in the Reach stats database (which we don't control anymore).

Why then if you view a game detail through the website UI it will show a player as DNF ... yet through the API you get DNF: False for all players (even when half the team quit)?

Different result sets == broken.
Like I said, if it was free we could let it go (still broken/failed unit test, but hey) ... but its not free.

It isn't our shiznit anymore.
New sig. :p

Also, this should be included in those welcome messages on the homepage of Bungie.
Haha, I saw this on Waypoint gamma and lol'd.

OT: How long will our stats still be hosted here?

Well ... for those who start using it from now.

But prior to the last month we had to pay to use the service using MS Points ... or is that not true?
Are credits being issued based of prorata remain months?
(would provide a historical link but this kinda prevents the truth)

Guess thats the new standard though :(
Even noticed crimson has joined the "its broken, reboot and start again" motto. Times change.

And to think Achronos posted the motto "Screen scraping stats is bad, mkay?" ... at least linq query across a httprequest actually works.

Questions about the Reach Stats API are best directed to the "Reach Stats API" group.

You're changing the subject. What you're talking about is a bug with the Stats API interface that sits on top of the stats code the web UI uses on bungie.net. This thread is talking about an issue with the stats data the game is storing for a particular playlist.

As RocketMoose says - there is a group for Reach Stats API topics.

But the stats data [the OT] you have already already disowned.
Thought the API may invoke some level of ownership :(

API Forum, guessing you means this one ... the same one that displays an "Access Denied" message to what was claimed to be an open & free offering ... even using an account which has a [pre September paid for] registered key the link is still closed.

Hint taken.
But - always looking for a positive spin - at least I got my answer, a firm "No/Tough".

It was open to those select few who used their Reach Stats API key and joined the group when Reach was first released. I am sure Lord Achronos ended the offer for some time and now no one can enter the hallowed ground. But I wouldn't really worry about it, its'...Oh snap! I revealed too much. Please show me mercy master!

The group is open...

You have to join it first before you are able to go in there and view the forum.

RIP Logan ~B.B.

I think what they are trying to say is that the stats are showing up correctly, and 343 forgot to change the playlist name or an ID somewhere in their back end.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

So this is an error with Halo: Reach that affects the site and could only be fixed if Bungie still had control over Halo. Got it.

Bungie doesn't get to name or configure the playlists anymore, they only host the stats from those playlists.

Like all groups, you have to join to group to be able to view the forum. The group is open to all, though.
