Subject: Will there be separate forums for PS3?

I'm just here to check the meters.

Will the Xbox and PS3 players be mingling in the same forum or do they get their own forum to chat?

I don't care either way, but I would think that segregating us into two forums would only encourage the community to divide itself into two camps from which they can launch driveby spam attacks on each other.

We're all fans of the same game, we should all discuss it in one forum.

I think it will be all in one forum, it seems likely that the game will essentially be the same on all platforms.

I highly doubt that we'll start separating users based on what systems they have.

I don't see why there would be any need for there to be separate forums.

Group those two together and keep them away from us PC master races.

It is possible to commit no errors and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.

Cheeto is the only one among you that doesn't suck.

Even with hardware related discussions, you wouldn't need a separate forum. PS3 users will make threads about their hardware, 360 about theirs, and so on.

You'd just need constant moderation to stop PS3 > 360 flame wars.

Don't think so, it will require more space, having a forum for Ps3 and Xbox or even other gaming consoles will confuse people, like always, example: B.net forums, people tend to confuse the Communality forum for the Halo forum or The Flood.

Hopefully, Bungie will go big and cross-platform PS3 and XBL - that may be "reaching for the stars" but isn't that precisely what they aspire to do?

So having both sets of platform gamers in the same video game forums doesn't seem that far outside of the spectrum of possibility provided my aforementioned statement comes to fruition.

No, I do not want to join your clan/group.

One forum. Doesn't really make sense to split them into separate console forums since it's the same story/experience for both.

  • 10.05.2011 10:59 AM PDT

If bungie keeps to gameplay discussion: no. If they wise up and add a forum for technical issues: yes, there will probably be segregation but only under that contigency where the individual platforms matter.

This could actually work. If one divides the analogue sticks into quadrants and utilises the rest state and the click states, you've got six states per stick, rendering 36 total states. More than enough to viably type.
