I was playing for a bit today i was in a party with some friends in the MLG playlist (I never even knew that there was an MLG playlist) and i went to get a drink when i came back i just sag MLG i was like WTF is this i noticed there were just DMR's and Costom power-ups and some "Power Weapons" (The other team were hoarding the crap out of them) there was no Radar and whenever you spawn you needed around 10 secs to even sprint (Which is completely retarded)So...
The game ended (we lost) the other guys were in a party and had Super high ranks (lowest was a Nova) and I was too confused/shocked to even care about the loss when we lost the other team msg'd us and were telling us smack.
But what I noticed in Mid-Game all of the opposite team was breathing heavily as if they just sprinted a whole mile in less than a minute and i heard chewing, chips, and in one message one of the other members was like fighting with him mom or something If i recall right it went like this "HEY (some retarded name) Get out of the basement and (Shave/shower) GET OUT AND GET A JOB You WORTHLESS BASEMENT DWELLER *the guy said something back but we were laughing too hard to even hear what he was saying* She called him a Fatass or something and before we can laugh at the rest the whole party immediatelly left and I got curious I was told by one of my friends to post a Thread in the Forums so Here it is.

Generalizations.
Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

There are some "MLG" players that take the game way too seriously. Meaning that they break down after losing a match, and put it as a priority in life over things like jobs, education, and friends.

There's a major difference between a Tryhard and an MLG asshat.
A tryhard is playing to win, and will consider things like callouts and weapon control. Like me :D
An MLG asshat does that too, except takes it an extreme level and throws a major temper tantrum after losing and talks trash.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

MLG is abomination in my opinion.

I'm impartial to it. Live and let live.

I can't be bothered reading the OP. I might have if there were paragraphs rather than one giant blob of words.

Earlier today, I was in a party with some of my friends, and we had decided to enter the MLG playlist, something whose existence I had previously been aware of. I briefly departed from my console to acquire a beverage, and upon returning, I was, to my surprise, confronted by the "MLG" experience: DMRs, power weapons (being hoarded by the other team), Custom Powerups, and virtually nothing else; Motion Trackers disabled, and Sprint usage disabled for ten seconds after respawn. Most of the game had effectively been stripped out!

We had been matched with a party of very high-ranking players (the lowest of whom was a Nova), and, predictably, we lost. I was too confused and shocked to even care about the loss (or the other team's juvenile smack-talking via post-game Xbox LIVE messages).

What particularly stands out about the experience was what I heard in-game, via Proximity Voice. Nearly all of the opposing players were breathing heavily (the players, not their Spartans) as if they had just completed a triathlon. The sounds of chewing and potato chips were loud enough to be unmistakable even over LIVE.

The most striking thing my friends and I overheard, however, was one of the opposing players in an argument with his mother (this having taken place in the post-game lobby). The exchange, which I am retying from memory (and so details of this account may be incorrect), went like this:

Woman: HEY, [player name], get out of the basement, shave, and get out and get a job, you worthless basement dweller!

Player: [unintelligible reply drowned out by my and my friends' laughter]

Woman: [unintelligible] FATASS [unintelligible]!

Before my group even had time to laugh at the rest, the entire opposing team rapidly departed from the lobby. I was rather curious, and so acting on the recommendation of a friend I have chosen to retell this experience here, so that you, the Bungie.net Community, may provide your commentary.

Out of curiosity, by the way, what are your opinions regarding MLG -- league, playlist, and population?
