I used to be a vidiot a lifetime ago. My son got me hooked on Halo and I've only been playing for 2 months. Not just Reach but Halo altogether. That means that everyone I play against in matchmaking has a 5-10 year edge on me. I understand I have to take my lumps as initiation, but I find I have the most fun when it's competitive. I noticed this is directly attached to quitting. Which is annoying when it happens but I've done it as a white flag as well. Your not going to learn how to get better when your a Vets' prison -blam!-. I know they have the skill tab for the profile selection, but I find this draws a worse more evil bunch so I shut it off. I have a system that if I die 5 times before I even get a sniff at a kill, I'm in above my head. I'll leave the game. Now... I was wondering if in future games you could have a tiered system based on how good of a player you are. Like A ball AA, AAA, and Pro. You could name them normal, heroic, legendary class, whatever. Then you could have the bad asses fight each other and the shlubs like me work our way towards it. You could make it work in a way that wont have really good players farming the noobs. Where their K/D average would move them up or down accordingly.

I don't want to complain. It's just an idea that might make it more enjoyable and less frustrating for you pro's and us horse meat. Gaming has evolved so far and you have a well polished product (I'm hooked). You come off as a company that likes feed back. Thanks for your time.

That's sort of how the Arena works in Halo: Reach. I suggest you check that out. Bungie does love hearing from the fans, however, I hate to say it but they no longer manages Halo and this topic would be more well discussed at the 343 industries forum.
