ITT: Reading into something way too deep.
Seriously.

"The Next Big Thing" obviously translates to Bungie's next project.

How can we discuss it if we know nothing about it?

I could see a big website update that supports their new MMO. Think about how awesome Bungie could pull that off..

I also maintain that Chrome is weaksauce, and IE9 is fast and works very well

For those saying that Achronos is talking about Destiny, I thought so too until I actually saw his post in the thread it was posted in. Hopefully you'll agree if you see it in context :)

I guess he, like most of us, just forgot exactly how many times "new" is supposed to go in front of "Hawtness."

I don't think we will be waiting until Destiny is released to get an update to the site. That would be too long to wait. Right?

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

The Black Chapter!

I don't know anything about it, but I suspect that it will involve pizza.

Or maybe I'm just hungry.

Hi I'm RT and I like to argue!

Pretty obvious that they're going to replace the forum code or revamp it thoroughly.

ATTENTION MODERATORS. My latest ban (14-day ban from Qbix89) is not legitimate, take a look for yourself. Please review this before considering me a "repeat offender". Thank you.

Someone makes a topic and a Bungie Employee makes a response, and apparently this topic was birthed.

I guess significance is not given to the posters of this website unless importance is given to them by such a situation occurring.

I'm very disappointed.

Or, =/> than the mass of their previous project. Personally, I hope it's greater than Halo: Reach.

We can discuss our assumptions on what it could be.

Indeed. Well, as I stated previously, I hope it's big. Like, 'this' big...

Seriously though, I hope it's better than anything...ever...in the history of things.

Yes, I also hope that it's better than anything in the history of things (particularly the assumed Bungie.net update). It would be a let down if it wasn't, since it's called "The Next Big Thing" after all.

Ooh, I like the sound of 'The Next Big Thing' it has a nice ring to it! But whatever it is i'm sure it'll be very interesting.

Seriously, I thought it was painfully obvious that his post was about "Destiny" and he just didn't want to use one of the two pre-established codenames for their next IP. You're making something out of nothing. Urk said the new hawtness wasn't coming for a long time.

"I will show you how a true Prussian officer fights!"

"And i will show you where the iron crosses grow..."

- "Cross of Iron"

This "Next big thing" sounds well...like a big thing! Im excited.

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

I somehow doubt that the "Next Big Thing" that he was referring to was Forum-Related. I think he was probably talking about the new game.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I included a direct link in the OP for a reason. Read it in full context and you'll get it more. Obviously it's related to their next project, but the site will be undergoing some changes as well from the sound of it.

look at my link like 2 of my posts up. Urk said the new hawtness is a long ways off. It very well could be when Destiny is released if that's early to mid 2013.
