Well my fellow gamers, it's been a little over a year since the release of Halo: Reach, what were your impressions then and what are they now?

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

I love it. The characters, the vistas, pretty much everything.

I was excited about from the minute I first heard about it, and over all it has live up to my expectations. An overall fantasic game with a campaign, great multi-player experience, and I would say quite possibly the best overall Halo game so far.

You know to the "true fans" that's considered blasphemy right Coma? You know I support ya, but others...not so much.

I like it. Campaign was fun, firefight is extremely fun (kuddos on that Bungie) multiplayer is alright. Armor lock and other annoyances weigh it down though. It's a well put together game (excluding armor lock and such). Yes there are things that many will not like in it however you have to admit there is effort in it. It isn't the stain on the Halo franchise that many say it is.

Personally they could of done with less Noble Team members. 2-3 would of done just fine.

Half Man.
Half Horse.
Half Machine.
All "Jerk Who's Really Bad at Math."

PS
No, I do not want to join your clan/group.

I love Reach, though I do wish the campaign had been a good bit longer considering it was Bungie's last Halo game. I was kind of hoping for two discs; one dedicated to the longest and most epic campaign we've yet seen and one for multiplayer/firefight.

In my opinion, everything is great just the way Bungie made it.
Of course, there could be a few little things here and there I think could have been better. It isn't perfect. Then again, which game is?
I still think it's better than Halo 3 in every possible aspect.
Despite all the amazing games coming out this year, Halo Reach will always be my go-to game and will probably remain as my favorite Xbox 360 title.

I liked it when i started playing but after a while certain abilities started to get really irritating. I mostly play gears of war now, mostly...

I liked it very much.

Campaign: sure, I like H2 and CE better. But it was not bad, nearly every level was a homage to classic Halo levels, the vibe was right, it was more gritty and felt different from classic Halo while still being familiar.

Sure: canon is conflicting here, but the fact that its "the most complete reconstruction anybody has been able to assemble" from the events on Reach means those "errors" are covered and explained for. So that was fine with me.
No real complaints here.

Multiplayer: really liked it at first, even though I was quick to admit the mapdesign was mediocre(although better than that in H3 in my opinion). Things only got better with Noble and Defiant mappacks, but became more and more annoying due to the AL whoring etc.
TU makes it feel like it should be though in my opinion.

So my impressions on Reach? The most love-hate relationship I've ever had with a Halo game. I can love it at times, but its also the one that pisses me off most of them. Still: I like it better than lackluster Halo 3.

I like Reach, but it wasn't the best Halo game.

The campaign, is decent, despite the conflicting canon.I found it too easy, and the characters, minus Jorge were like robots.

Firefight, is epic and far superior to ODST's firefight.

Multiplayer, Well, is awesome, I love it, but the fact that Elites were restricted to invasion and customs is a bummer. And armor lock is annoying.

Forge, the best ,not much competition is there.Wish there was more colors than sliver though.
