Subject: What do you dislike about the Bungie Community?

Wipe me down!
ZAP a.k.a. Mr. Cool Guy, 2 Man Beer Club CEO

For me, it's the negativity and sarcasm many members show towards each other. I feel that we are wholly very petty as a community.

Though I have my concerns, I have much respect for this community.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I hate the ability to post and the hypocrisy of this post.

  • 10.06.2011 9:31 PM PDT

I hate how everyone is negative toward anything someone posted. Also The trolling and flaming every where. The spamming shock sites. The group spam. Everyone has to quote an employee. The moderators are somtimes(alot) unfair with there bannings. Thats just a few.

Half Man.
Half Horse.
Half Machine.
All "Jerk Who's Really Bad at Math."

PS
No, I do not want to join your clan/group.

Sarcasm I'm fine with though I can agree about the excessive negativity. Still, the two things I despise most are the immature trolls and the hostility many people around here display; too many people looking for a fight over nothing.

I don't have any qualms against the Community. Granted, there are going to problems with the different personalities the users bring, but I'd say it's worth it to have such a diverse, and hardcore community.

Agreed.

Basically, I make the best topics ever.

Feedback!
Duardo: This thread is locked for being stupid.
cortana 5 : It's perpetually my time of the month and I'm just grouchy.
Foman: I see absolutely no reason, either theoretical or practical, that this is not a superb idea. Excellent work, my friend.

I hate anyone that's not a Mythic member. Seriously n00bs. Also, I hate those elitist haters. Stupid capitalist scum. I also hate moderators, because they aren't anarchists.

Hello, I'm Mr AwesomePizza. I like pizza and I'm a man. Reasoning for the name. I like to listen to the classics of music, write poetry, play video games, and much much more. I'm always down for a nice chat, so please hit me up for some conversation.

I dislike that we have no BNET friend list.
I want one so bad...

I play for fun and armory completion. :)

I hate that most older members relate mostly with older members while newer members with newer members. The hierarchy of Bungie.net, especially the Community Forum, is pretty pronounced.

You mean that I relate with those that I've interacted with fairly often as opposed to those that I've never heard of before? Wow, you're right, that is crazy.

I'm not saying its wrong, I'm saying that I dislike it. I barely know any of the older members here, and that saddens me. In forums like the Flood people discuss common topics, but in this section, I often find myself spectating rather than conversing with the people who have been here longer. I'm sure many others who are "newer" feel that they don't fit in as well.

If you want to meet other members, join their groups or join #bungienet IRC. That's pretty much where I know everyone from.

La Vie Boheme

I hate the lack of people wearing panda suits.

Also, it slightly bothers me when I see threads that clearly belong in a different forum, and yet they're posted here anyway.

I honestly don't have many qualms about the community now that the flooding of "Reach"-ers (as I shall now call them) have moved over to the 343i forums.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

The only thing I dislike about the Bungie Community are the trolls and flamers. Without them, this website and community would be much better.

Hello community, If you have any questions or concerns then please feel free to ask, whatever it may be and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge/ability. (It may not be THE answer you're looking for but AN answer is better than NO answer.)

I really don't like how serious questions are often met with sarcasm and inside jokes, even in this forum.

Positive vibes.

The negative energy that I get from other members. For example, this thread. The idea that you are coaxing people into revealing what they find most unbearable about this community. Oh, how, unfavorable.

When you created this thread, did you think that people were actually going to form chivalrous conversations with one another, or was your only concern to reach 51+ replies, or 'Hot Topic' status, if you will?

All joking aside, do you see what I mean? This thread might gather a lot of attention, but all of which is pointing out the negative sides of this community. Why don't we reflect on the more positive assets this community has?

;)

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

There is nothing to dislike. You have no right to dislike anything. And if you do, why are you still here?

I'm either giving opinion, discussing something, or laughing. Not disliking.

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Not enough furries in The Flood.

But really, I like the fact that the things dislike about the forums aren't necessarily forum related problems, but are problems found in any social structure. This of course bringing me to my problem with the Bungie Community. The inability to accept that not everyone is nice, not everyone is going to like you, you're going to be subjected to imagery, video, thoughts that you aren't going to approve of while on a public forum on the internet, and very few seem to have the ability to just roll with it. Instead of reporting it and ignoring a problem people will just post and whine about it.

Also, I hate rants...

I dislike that everyone doesn't want things to change. This is the forum "where ideas go to die", I would like that to change.

No. This isn't Facebook, so no changes, ever. We will have this site like this and this only until we're all dead.
