Subject: How many actual active mods do we have?

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Please allow me to introduce Myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

I went through the list and noticed that some haven't been on in months and years. So, who's left that's still active?

Will the Mods forum ever clean its roster up?

42. No more. No less. 42 shall be the number thou shall count. And the number for the counting shall be 42.

I'm guessing about 6-9.

And no that wasn't a joke.

Basically, I make the best topics ever.

Feedback!
Duardo: This thread is locked for being stupid.
cortana 5 : It's perpetually my time of the month and I'm just grouchy.
Foman: I see absolutely no reason, either theoretical or practical, that this is not a superb idea. Excellent work, my friend.

Undercover or not?

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

Why should inactivity lead to removal?

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

It seems like every mod who isn't a Sleeping Mod has been on in the last couple of days. Not everyone in HFCS is a mod, but even so I'd guess that at least 30 moderate on a regular basis.

I've been clicking on a bunch of them, and I can't find one who hasn't logged in this month. They might lurk, but I think they're still at it.

Some boards like to keep an active roster and remove inactive mods but allow them to have their status returned if requested. It's tidier and more common from what I've seen.

But, Bungie must stand out among the crowd. They are going to rule the world, afterall.

Bungie basically does that. People who are no longer active have their status changed to "Sleeping Moderator". When they come back, their status is returned.

I don't think they have to request to have their status returned, which is the main difference. I could be wrong though. I really don't know enough about how these forums function.

Even though you posted below me, I don't feel like replying twice.

What a hipster.

Looking at Mod Finder we have more than enough active mods to get us through this Bnet "dry-spell" we're having. Just because a mod doesn't post don't mean he's not there. We have around 25.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

You know just becuase we don't see the mods post every 10 seconds doesn't mean they aren't here.

There are many mods that "lurk" on Bungie.net.

Well, there are about 42 Mods. Not all of them are active, though. I would say that 30/42 maybe?

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

Amen

It all depends on what you mean by "active". I see about 6 or 7 of them post often but how do we know how many of them just ban/warn members?
