Do not waste your tears, I was not born to watch the world grow dim. Life is not measured in years, but by the deeds of men.

T4R. Who do you think should write a Halo book/short story?

I am going with Steven Moffat, at least when/if he leaves Doctor Who. He admitted to liking Halo and even slipped a few references into the Doctor Who specials (Sanhelios and the Flood, anyone?). I think he could bring something new and exciting to the table and I can easily see him writing a very good piece on the Forerunners.

Larry. Mother-blam!-. Niven.

*facepalm*
How could I have forgotten him? It definitely would be interesting to write for Halo, especially since he made Ringworld.

I would love it if 343 hired BEN BOVA to write a Halo novel. It would be EPIC!

The road to success is always under construction.

Could you imagine if Niven wrote Cryptum instead of Bear?

Now I've just recently reread Cryptum and it's impressive in it's own right but the possibilities with Niven would be endless. He would be able to do the Ecumene justice.
I wouldn't enjoyed reading Cryptum if Niven wrote it. He's a good author, but I don't like the way he's writing.
(pardon for grammar mistakes, not native in english)

We’re flawed because we want so much more. We’re ruined because we get these things and wish for what we had.

That would be just so awesome, words can not explain just how awesome it would be.

Drew Karpyshyn would be a good choice as well. He wrote several Star Wars and Mass Effect books all of which turned out quite well. He definitely can do Halo justice.

Generalizations.
Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

Joseph Staten. He does such an incredible job writing the Halo storylines.

Although they may not always fit canon, they still make for wonderful stories. Contact Harvest was great, and I would LOVE to see another one by him (Although that is extremely unlikely)

  • 10.09.2011 5:14 PM PDT

William Dietz to write another one.

Now that I think about it, imagine putting JK Rowling in charge of a Halo novel. Imagine what that would be like.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Max Brooks maybe? He did a wonderful job with World War Z, I'd love a Human-Covenant War version.

I am...whimsical today.

Iain M Banks.

It'd be something special, and probably particularly un-halo-esque :)
