While this is better there are still things that need to be better explained.
- More information on NOBLE team would be nice since we were assured that the game would give a depth explanation to them. Starting with why jun and emile weren't part of the original NOBLE team if they were in Alpha with Carter.
- What Exactly destroyed the covenant corvette on "Sword Base" (not really important but still).
- How noble team was exposed to such extremely high levels of radiation and didn't die.
-What was the purpose of that Artifact halsey found.
- How could the PoA got to the surface of Reach unscathed despite the fact it should be heavily damaged from engagements along with the fact hundreds of covenant ships are in orbit. The same is said for how it left without issue.
Then the actual mechanics of how it could land in the first place are needed.
1. More information on Noble would be nice, but I think that it can be assumed that the Noble Spartans were pulled from their respective companies, and used as Headhunters and operational units similar to them until the formation of Noble. Jun-A266 and Emile-A239 not being placed into Noble immediately isn't really an issue, and may not ever be addressed. We could just assume that they weren't "first picks" for Noble.
2. Probably won't know for certain, but it wouldn't be out of the question if it was an ODP.
3. Bungie/343i could cook up some response to that, but I doubt it would be satisfying. It was likely just Bungie over-exaggerating for dramatic effect.
4. It may be the result of a retcon; the previous co-ordinates that Cortana had, combined with the Sword Base artifact lead to the discovery of Halo.
5. The PoA wasn't damaged from the naval battle at Reach in the opening cutscene for Halo: CE. As for the fact that the PoA was able to land on Reach: we see UNSC frigates and countless Covenant ships operating in atmosphere, when physics would not allow that to happen. Like the other space vessels hovering and flying in atmosphere, and the absurdly high radiation count, you're just going to have to suspend your knowledge of the way the universe operates for the purpose of story-telling. Just like in my thread I made months ago about how physical anthropology and human evolution doesn't make sense with the vague outline Cryptum gives us, this is just a part of the fiction where reality doesn't really have a ball in the court.
