"What are we holding on to, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for."

I've only played H3 for 2½ years or so and wasn't there at its launch. Still, I've had incredibly much fun on this game, it's totally addictive. Playing for five hours straight is no problem at all. ;)
Battling the lag is a major issue for me, but it's nowhere near as bad as on Reach. I don't know what it is about that game that causes it to give such ridiculous advantages to some players while others can't do squat. I really only play Reach because I get totally fed up with H3's maps. Seems like you're playing on the same three maps all the time. :\
Anyway, I'm set to go into Halo 3 mode very shortly. Can't wait. :)
This is the same for me, I got Halo 3 about 2 1/2 years ago as well. I don't think I've spent as much time on any other game I've ever owned. The multiplayer is just special. No other game can have you furiously raging, screaming into your headset, and then collecting your controller from whatever corner of the room it landed in........and then do it all again five seconds later in a perfectly good mood. I miss this game having a 50000 population.
