The homophobia exhibited by respondents to this thread is quite repellent, as well as that displayed by moderators attempting to censor your perfectly rule-abiding discussion. There is of course no reason why "g.ay" should be censored. There are a litany of other terms which can be used as insults, and often are, yet are not censored, as you point out.
Still, remember that Bungie is a North American developer, and thus I would not be at all surprised if it was composed of more than a few bigots. Add to this that these fora have a strange resistance to change, and I very much doubt your proposal will ever be implemented.
No one has said anything that could portray them as homophobic. Just because someone objects to -blam!--blam!-ity doesn't mean they are afraid of it.
I didn't accuse them of being afraid of it. I accused them of homophobia. Look the term up before critiquing my use of it.

Again, most of the time the word -blam!- is being used as an insult. The reason it is censored is because without said censor, most threads would be full of people constantly posting how -blam!- stuff is, and how -blam!- other people are for disagreeing with them. That doesn't promote intelligent, focused discussion, does it?
Many other terms don't, so let's censor those also. "dick" is a good example.

Lastly, the fact the Bungie is HQ'd in North America has nothing to do with the fact that the word -blam!- is censored, and certainly doesn't mean they are bigoted.
In fact, it's quite the opposite, if they were bigoted, then they wouldn't have the word censored.
In fact, there probably are -blam!--blam!-s that are employed by Bungie.
Grow up. The US is drowning in homophobia. The probability that there is not a significant number of bigots within the company is regrettably small. How on earth is the censoring of "g.ay" evidence that the company is in this respect tolerant?

It is bigoted of you to accuse Bungie of being bigoted just becuase they are set up in North America, though.
Accusing a person or group of something just because they are located in a certain area of the world is bigotry.
Actually, it's statistics and a familiarity with American media.
