RC Clone is the anti-thesis of a lurker.

Forerunner tech answers to us so theoretically, if they accepted us, the Prophets would have to answer to us.

I do not know why the creator of this thread would think the Covenent would just give us all of their technology if we were absorbed into the Covenent. We would obviosly start at the bottom because we would be new. If they knew we were Reclaimers, they would try to destroy us, like they almost did. And they wouldn't give us ships if we were between the Jackals and Brutes. The Brutes had very few ships at the start of the war, and they were the worst ships the Covenent had.

What would we fight? NOTHING! There would be nothing to fight. Unless we stumbled on a Halo, we would have nothing to fight AT ALL. And like someone said before, the Spartan armor is even more advanded than the Covenent armor because it was already reverse-engineered. The Spartans had to be augmented to even use that armor, so how would the rest of the military be able to use them.

You all just just got served because you all know what I said is completely true!

I think some are under estimating humans. Strength and speed are negated with weapons and equipment. Ability, intelligence and dedication would far outweigh any alien strength or speed advantages when humans had capable weapons and gear.

The vast majority of the Human-Covenant War says otherwise.

Who barely won that war?

Fixed. And humanity didn't win it themselves, the Covenant Separatists gave us the aid to win.

I think you are missing the point of CubsBlow's comment. He is saying our strategy and intelligence would outweigh the physical strength of the Elites IF we had comparable technology, which in the Humnan-Covenant War was not the case. Just look at the Spartans, when given similar strength and ability of an Elite they mopped the floor with them. The key here is obtaining comparable gear to the Elites once we join the Covenant aka gain energy shields and plasma weapons for all soldiers...

The Elites would have won if they weren't blinded by their religion and held back by the Prophets, it's not anything that hasn't happened to humans at some point or in some form in the past...

I don't see how anyone can deny the vastly superior battle strategy of Humanity. The Elites have the tendency to literally just throw their ships at us in an all out charge. That is poor strategy to say the least and the only reason the Covenant won any space battles was due to numbers, shielding, and weaponry of their craft. Not to mention it was said that in ground engagements humanity was able to hold their own against the Covenant and Spartans just made it all the better. We could easily rise up the ranks in the Covenant. Maybe at first we would start low, I suppose that depends on the terms upon which we enter the Covenant, but eventually we would rise up after demonstrating out vastly superior knowledge of tactics and military strategy. Not to mention our technology was all discovered on our own so we would likely be able to improve the Covenant's technology beyond what it already is. Cortana actually did this when she upgraded the plasma weaponry and the slip-space capabilities of the Covenant ship Ascendant Justice.

Again, that was the fault of the Covenant religion and the restrictions of the Prophets rather than the stupidity of the Elites themselves.

Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien.
Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar.
tenn' Ambar-metta!

I would say side by side with the Elites. Humans are brave warriors, technological advanced, (using their own technology, no Forerunner tech) they have proved to be almost equal to the Elites with Naval fights and with the Spartans.

And they would be above the Brutes.

  • 10.11.2011 9:45 PM PDT

lucky for the humans that the elites didn't copy the idea of a SPARTAN 2 like program etc..

Imagine an elite going through an augmentation like the SPARTAN 2's becoming stronger, faster, smarter, bigger and add a suit which improves mobility and strength like the black Mark suit, then add the strong armor like the Mjolnir 6 and since the Covenant already have a huge step in the advance technology department I assumed that their suits will be far more advance than the Mark 6 SPARTAN suit, with like 7 times more over-shields too.

Maybe they will call the Elite's suits the Mark 10 and have teleportation capabilities! sweeeet!!! the Elites will be able to dodge bullets like Albert Wesker in Resident Evil 5...

I don't really see that much evidence supporting that claim. The prophets gave the Elites grand strategy for their overarching cause, the Elites had direct control over tactical decisions as far as Naval battles and ground engagements went. In addition the prophets only helped the Elites technologically, they in no way held them back as you are implying. On the other hand humans were able to win a few battles in space, where they were vastly out powered, through the use of sheer brilliant tactics against the ignorant charging techniques that the Elites favored. This tendency to blindly charge in most cases is even seen with the Elites in ground engagements, where the use swords. Really, swords? I mean yes the swords are bad-ass and made of energy, but they are no match in a standard battle on the ground where the majority of the fighting can be done at range. I mean that is just plain stupidity in most cases if you ask me and demonstrates the blind rush that the Elites like to utilize.

You know our motto, We deliver!

Elites would probably keep their position, seeing as they are stronger and more loyal and honourable (generally). But I would not say Elites are more intelligent than us for sure. We would probably fit in with a tactical/ combat role. I would assume we would be on par with Elites in terms of the position within the Covenant.

Down with the Brutes

Also, good luck making every religion humanity has null and void. We would not willingly be absorbed into the Covenant.

This, we would end up being the better version of the Jackals.

Since humans are inheritors, we'd probably be gods.

Clan motto:Born of fire! Born of steel! Born of war! BORN of blood!

our role *do to certain battles in the outer colonies during the books* we would have multiple roles most in combat *this mostly depends on if we are talking about when the elites were the military back bone* do to the bravery the elites reconized during their attacks on the colonies humanity as always sci-fy or real world has always held to one military tradition "no retreat, no surrender"... the elites did a similar thing during the grunt rebelions after noticing the grunts combat effectiveness in groups they were allowed into the army and armed accordingly to their stations... we would probably be sent with a elite and prophet amabasador during diplomatic relations and allowed into research and tech development do to our success with the many secret weapons and we devised during our war with covanent... *this is from a logical standpoint taking into accounting all events that took place in and out of battle*

All those saying the Sangheili/any other Covenant species are more intelligent than humanity are deluding themselves. All the Sangheili's technology? Derived from Forerunner technology.

They never developed impulse drives themselves, never created their own weaponry -- I'd honestly be surprised if they even had advanced mathematics.

We created everything from scratch. Consider how longer the Covenant has been in existence. What is it, 5000 years? They've had space-travel all that time.

We've had it 300 years in the Haloverse and already nearly match the Covenant's technology off our own bat.

Humanity is the most intelligent race in the Halo universe, in my opinion.

This.

Not true.

But if Humans were in the Covenant we would explore Forerunner structures, because only we can interact with important Forerunner devices.

Partially true. Yea at first all our attention was on the Flood but when the Forerunners began to attack us, we had to divide our attention.
