I'm curious about whether there are actually any good video game TV shows out there. Ones that are worth watching. Ones that are intelligent. Ones that don't make patronizing efforts to be 'hip' and 'with it'.

Here in the UK, we don't have any good gaming shows. Period. There were a few back in the early 90's, but they have died out to be replaced by rubbish 'kiddie' shows.

The newest gaming show we have over here in the UK is a show called Gamezville, a show that is so abominably bad that I can only stand to watch a few minutes of it. It's basically an attempt by a bunch of TV execs to come up with a show 'about those games things', and who think putting a Z in the title will make it cool.

It mainly consists of two hideously annoying presenters bouncing about the screen spouting random and often wrong facts about games trying to appear to be 'hardcore gamers' and failing miserably. The reviews of games are done by children, who don't have any idea what they are talking about either, and their news reporters, the 'G-Team' report news that anyone who reads games websites will know about, and the entire show is basically a gigantic mess.

The only saving grace is a segment with a guy called the Games Guru, who is sometimes vaguely amusing. Anyway, moving away from my attack on Gamezville...

Does anyone know of a games show that is still on the air, and good and informative? Or is the genre of games TV dominated by a load of out-of-touch journalists?

If yor cable co. has G4TechTV your a lucky bastard, because that has all the good gaming stuff, and from what I've seen of it, the channel is pretty repectful. And their are hot girls that host a lot of the shows. And what's better than hot girls and games?
