Hello, I'm Mr AwesomePizza. I like pizza and I'm a man. Reasoning for the name. I like to listen to the classics of music, write poetry, play video games, and much much more. I'm always down for a nice chat, so please hit me up for some conversation.

Soon...

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Bungie does not hire people straight out of college to my knowledge.

Most of their jobs on the jobs page say you need 1-2+ years of experience "in the field" before working for Bungie. Hell, a head writer needs something like 3 or 4 years writing on a TV Show before they're considered.

Yes, but you're God. Deities don't normally have to prove themselves much in the area of educational and practical prerequisites.

I hate how every job nowadays 'requires x years/months of experience.' How is a guy supposed to break into a field if EVERYWHERE requires experience? It's a logic nonsequitur.

I certainly hope mods and personal projects constitute experience.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

It's mainly just to prove your experience. I'm sure if you have an impressive resume and portfolio they'd overlook the lack of on the job experience.

I've always wondered how it is exactly that a programmer would have a portfolio. The image of a long print out sheet of 1's and 0's in a full to bursting manila folder always comes to mind.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I can't seem to find many colleges near me that have a video game program. :/

I want a Degree in Game design and a minor in business.

What is it exactly you home to BE with a degree in Game Design? Game designer is such a general term and job openings would probably less few and far between with a programming degree if I had to guess.
