Im sure that when Halo 2 comes out, the staff of bungie are going to enjoy some multiplayer carnage over xbox live, so when they do it would be handy (hint hint frankie) to know how to recognize them. I mean, anybody could go on xbox live with the name "Marty O'Donnell" or "SketchFactor" or any of the other staff names, so I think it would be cool for the staff to represent themselves in a unique way. Unless they don't want to attract attention, which I could understand completely.

PS- Im too lazy to read the rest of the posts, so dont flame if this is old stuff =P

I remember reading a long time ago (I don't remember where) that Marty O'Donnell will try to make his name Lance. I think I am remembering it correctly.

I get the feeling that if people knew they were playing Bungie, theyd all (not in a pre-orgainised fashion, mind you) basically forget about everyone else and try and smear the Bungie guys against the wall, just to say they did. Like when Kevin Sorbo was filming Hercules here in NZ, he admitted he was too scared to go into pubs, cause as soon as he got in, some fool would come along wanting to say they beat up Hercules.

Sorry to go off topic, but BattleBot, were did you hear this?

The reason I ask is because in the description of Ivory Tower, the new Halo 2 Multi-player level, it says that the building is owned by Lance O'Donnell!!

Again, sorry to go off topic, just noticed it and got excited!

The problem with this idea is that there would be a lot of smack talk. Some of us wouold actually want to play with them. While others, like on the forums here, would want to talk trash to them. I think it would be great.

We may have a chance to talk with them once Halo 2 is completed though.

yea im guessing, and im sure theres a great chance bungie will have there own deticated severs for us to play on, and 100's of ppl will flow through it 24/7, cause im sure they'll be the best out of everyone else's servers, i like mine i can usually hold 16 ppl on every xbox live game, but there are times that there not so good, i hope it'll work good in halo 2 so i can host rooms instead of joining them, i like being the host much more then just joining rooms, because your in control, lol....and have a bit mroe authority over everyone else in the room, because there are some dumb people on xbox live....

bah

I would love the chance to go head-to-head with Bungie and know it was them. I hate it when people impersonate other people, ruins the fun of it. I'm sure Bugnie will have some way of identifying themselves to everyone if they choose to. It might be as simple as Bungie forming their own clan and then you can see it's them from the clan list. I imagine that Bungie will turn off friend request though.

It would be pure nirvana paying those who made this amazing game the ultimate sign of respect at the dangerous end of a warm battle rifle.

I've heard of the planned "special event" days for official matches. Perhaps one or two will be an official "play with Bungie" day. I'm sure they won't just outright turn down any friend requests though. I mean some of them may want to actively play with the fans unihibited by annonymity. I guess it's up to their induvidual discression.

Anyone who thinks Bungie employees can't take a little smack talk have never been in a Halo PC game with Bentllama and I.

Also, the "Multiplayer option to play with Bungie" thing? That's just silly. ;)

What? So your ok with 1000's of people bugging you every 2 seconds for a game as you've got a high chance of being one of the most popular people on xbox live? Ok.

That would be because I don't have Halo PC, lol. My computer can't run it, but enough about my computer. When I play Bungie, I plan it to be smack talk free. Maybe, it could be "The Arbiters" (people from The Arbiter chapter) vs. some of the Bungie Staff. Now that game would be so kick arse! I can only imagine right now though. A few days after November 9th is when I will start playing Xbox Live.

Will us Bungie.net users get express passes to play with Bungie?

I'm not going to smack talk, but my friend requests are still waiting for you both on Xbox Live.

Hehe, I just realized something. A lot of the people here will be getting a million friends requests from people due to their status here. All the mods are screwed, and many of the better known individuals are too.

Bloody hell, lol. I swear if davestar even tries to.... It will not be pretty is one way of putting it. I wouldn't mind playing with some people here. Some people are ok. I'll be playing with people in my chapters and that I've known on this web site mostly.

I think the Mods will get it the worse. Their friends list will fill up really fast, if it's not already.

Thats why I dont link my gamertag; not because I'm arrogant [?stupid?] enough to think that droves of people would send me a friend request, but because theres some people that, well, I just dont want to be friends with.
