I personally think the Halo 4 should ADS,
its not copying COD because every other game has it too.

Halo needs this feature to create a more "realistic" game

what do u think?

We should know better, because we are better.

I think you should read the rules and post In the right forum.

Bollocks. Halo does not need to be realistic to be good. Spartans do not need to aim down their weapon sights because zoom is smart-linked to their HUD.

that is probably the stupidest thing ive ever heard

You know what science-FICTION is? Not realistic. Just about everything in Halo stretches the bounds of realism.

Giant ringworlds that fire pulses that kill everyone in the galaxy =/= realistic.

You're either a troll, or the entire point of sci-fi has washed right over your head. Video games are about escapism into a new world where anything is possible, if I want a realistic shooter then I'll just go paintballing with some friends.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response did you ever come close to what could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having heard it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Stupid ass washing machine...

I think realism is slowly killing many game franchises. Why can't people just use their imagination anymore?

  • 10.10.2011 1:20 PM PDT

In my opinion it isn't a necessity to alter the game's aiming style seeing as the game is fun and addicting enough to play as is. Other members have made a good point that Halo is a Sci-Fi type game and of course has the natural ability to alter what most would consider as "realistic." But it would be cool to have the option to use an ADS style of aiming as a sub-type you could select in the menu, or possibly an incorporation of the ADS style with what it has now; i.e. instead of using the Assault Rifle and clicking the right joystick down to make your HUD zoom in, it could instead have the option to use an ADS style of aiming rather than just zoom in on the horizon (or whatever you fancy looking at).

agreed

We’re flawed because we want so much more. We’re ruined because we get these things and wish for what we had.

ADS are unnecessary in a FPS, they only slow down gamplay, remove jumping and strafing which require skill, and incorriges camping due to the slower gameplay.

So no.

  • 10.10.2011 1:46 PM PDT

No, Spartans don't need to aim down sights to aim because their guns are connected to their heads up display. Also aiming down sights is just boring in general.

Copying CoD?

Wow.

In no way is ads copying CoD, if it's copying anything, it's real lfie.

I think your invention of the word "stupidest" the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

It wouldn't make sense for a Spartan to aim down the sights, unless his helmet is off. And I wouldn't count on that happening to the chief.

For Carnage Apply Within - Fatum Iustum Stultorum

"Do not mistake your rank and number for superiority. The oldest child may learn from the youngest."

Just because some games have a certain mechanic, doesn't mean it belongs in all games. Implementing a 'popular' mechanic leads to nothing more than a generic pile of blandness. Distinction from the norm is a strong indication of original thought; mimicry is not.

See you on the battlefield.

The shotgun is the only weapon (without optics) that even has iron sights, so the feature would be useless.

Besides, if your armor automatically tells you where your gun is pointing, then why use iron sights?

Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

So you want Halo, the greatest gaming franchise, to copy Call of Duty, the crappiest gaming franchise?

No, I do not think Halo 4 needs ADS. It would be completely unnecessary and mess with the core game mechanics of a series that has spanned practically 10 years.
