"Find where the liar hides, so that I may place my boot between his gums!" - Rtas 'Vadum

Why not just use the other thread?

Regardless, the Sangheili view themselves as the inheritors. They are not going to take too kindly to essentially being told "Sorry, you're just another face in the crowd" whilst the race that they thought for so long who does not deserve to live claims their birthright that the Sangheili thought was theirs.

Hey, now!

This is officially either the greatest or worst thing to ever happen to Star Wars. I'm going with the former.

The Prophets would never give up their power like that. That's part of the reason that they chose to go to war with humanity in the first place.

Also, the UNSC's tactics were basically all desperation moves. Humanity was losing colonies and was being pushed back by the Covenant's superior fleets and numbers, and the only thing that was really saving them was the fact that the Cole Protocol.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Its what their gods have decided. So in religious talk let their will be done. They don't like it will they dare disobey the forerunners? But they'll most definetely hate us and there will be tension.

Tell me, are you completely backwards? This happened, you know? Truth, Mercy and Regret found this out AND WAGED A GENOCIDAL WAR FOR 27 YEARS...

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Didn't a UNSC fleet display better tactics on the battle of onyx? They almost destroyed that fleet despite being outnumbered but reinforcements came and that's the only reason they lost. And I'm talking about prophets who are super faithful to the forerunners and aren't -blam!-s like truth. They would obey the forerunners every command even if it means becoming a slave race.

No, the Onyx Sentinels RAPED both the UNSC and Covenant ships.

In a perfect world. It is more likely that they will fabricate ways around it: Claim the Prophets to be mad, claim the Oracle to be mad, etc. Religious zealots are crafty at preserving their beliefs. Your scenario also does not appear to be happening in the canon; it has not persuaded 'Telcam or a significant part of the Sangheili race to desist on claiming Forerunner technology to be sacred and untouchable to everyone.

I am Field Master Avu Med 'Telcam, Servant of the Abiding Truth, and I have many brothers.

A god who creates tools is still a god. It is not for us to impose qualifications upon the divine or presume to guess its intentions.

False.

Obviously.

Generalizations.
Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

No. Why? Because this happened already.

The Prophets learned that Humans were the Reclaimers after initial contact at Harvest.
To save their own power, the Prophets declared war on Humanity.

Also, I doubt that the rest of the Covenant would believe that we are Reclaimers. They would probably ignore whatever proof we threw at them, and continue to attack us with Grunts, Brutes, and Elites with their clicky mandibles.

Also, I'd rather command a UNSC starship full of humans, assuming that there's plenty of Miranda Keyes, booze, and comfortable beds.
