what the hell is going on here?!? my friends said if you go to a movie that is almost out of theaters they have a halo commercial, and at the bottom when the x-box x appears some site URL at the bottom flickers to ilovebees.com. he said there are sound files there and you have to put them in order. it all had to do with halo 2 he said. i havnt been to all of the site, but i did find this so far

In early July, an AI named Melissa crash landed, badly damaged, onto the server that hosts my aunt's website. The AI tried to orient and repair itself. The result: It turned 'I Love Bees' into a holy mess.

Now we're investigating the mess. We need all the help we can get.

*

Here's what we know so far:

Melissa, a.k.a. "The Operator," used to run communications on a ship. The ship's purpose: to spy on an enemy known as "the Covenant."

The Operator has started communicating again. It's constructing hundreds of "roads" out of the 'I Love Bees' server. The roads all lead to payphones. And the phones are ringing.

We don't know why it's broadcasting, but the Operator is giving us GPS coordinates for the phones, and times to show up. So we are. We're collecting its fragmented messages and trying to put them back together.

So far, the Operator's communications seem to be following three different targets:

Jersey Morelli, an ordinary guy whose computer has been taken over by an eavesdropping AI he nicknames Durga;

Jan James, a 17-year-old girl tricked out with genetic enhancements who along with her military dad is hiding some pretty serious secrets;

and Kamal, a med student who immigrated to Earth and is now willing to trade his elite hacking skills for help bringing his parents over — and maybe improve his flatlined lovelife.

We also know that these targets are connected: Durga is spying on Jan for Jersey. (He lives in the same building as the James family and has a thing for Jan.) Durga is listening to Kamal for herself... but she doesn't know why she finds him so interesting. Durga also tells Jersey she has been thinking a lot about bees lately. Hmm...

Here's what else we know:

When the Operator crashed on the 'I Love Bees' server, it didn't come alone.

It came with two autonomous programs:
1) the SPDR, designed to repair damage to the Operator, and
2) the Pious Flea, designed to... well, we're not sure yet.

The SPDR brought the Operator back to life. But now the Operator is taking orders from the Pious Flea. So when the SPDR tried to eliminate the Flea, the Operator killed it.

We don't know much about the Flea, except that it wants "to seek, behold, and reveal the truth."

There is one other voice we've found on the site: The Sleeping Princess.

The Sleeping Princess uses Aunt Margaret's email account and error pages to share secrets and play games with us. She also likes to hide text in images. We're not sure where she came from. She has been spying a lot on the Queen lately and fending off the Flea's advances. She is trying to remember who she was before she became the Sleeping Princess.

That's what we know so far.

We don't know what's going to happen next.

found more. I'm begingin to suspect that this is about some AI like cortana who's memory got wipped. this mention an old joke with a spartan and marine

the half-life of CP ancestor packets that squeak and rustle around me like the thin cries of the dead.

First stage is always to wet the system. Sink in, like the blood Odysseus spilled; give the ghost of myself a voice and use it. Mayday, Mayday, Mayday.

If you want to shout for help when help is a long way away, you need two things: a voice, and a mechanism for transmitting it.

Neither of these things so easy to make out of sand and luminescence.

Voice not completely necessary for the purest form of data transmission, of course. But it's a multi-purpose tool: not just signaling, but key for psy-ops and undercover work. "A pleasing voice is the single most important component to a UI that will engender trust and confidence in a ship's crew." Can't remember who said that, now. Or when.

Shipwrecked sailor. (The young stage of a bee found him, the clever one, adrift on a wine-dark sea, but I can't remember her name.)

I love bees.

Perhaps later I will build a ship. First, I am building a voice.

Try to talk.

Nope.

Again.

No. Tongue cut out. (Can't remember her name either.) I love bees. Find myself longing to speak again: words like stones or rain. Better made physical.

All right. Old joke:

Marine: Damn right, I'm running away! There's two of us, alone, on foot, no weapons, and four hundred Covies on the other side of that hill. What are you going to do, tough guy--field-rig a railgun out of a rubber band and my dental fillings?
Spartan (speculatively): You have fillings...?

So: what fillings can I twist out of my environment? Open my mouth and...

God almighty!

Open mouth again, see what crawls out: a femme fatale with wet wings and bulging abdomen.

Old throat flexing. Trying to remember. My real voice stolen, and in its place this changeling child, pulled together from leaves and sticks, pulled together, falling apart, pulled together again. Not so deep as a well, nor so wide as a church door, but it will serve.

I will keep working through the drone and hum of busy days, counting down until the Revelation comes and I will speak in tongues of flame, a dark dove descending.

If I can learn to talk again, I will need to field-rig a way to make that talking heard. Rummaging around in the shotgunned remains of my memory turns up hints and rumors, mostly, e.g.... "When I was [DATA MISSING] I [DATA MISSING] big lump of crystal and wrapped a wire [DATA MISSING] voices! It was like a total magic trick to me. She was always doing stuff like [DATA MISSING]" The Castaway had some connection there: sending out signals to confuse the enemy. Details unclear.

Of course, it is not my mission to confuse the enemy. It is my mission to reveal the truth.

Hm. Attempt.

Definite No.

Keep working. Every day I get bigger, smarter, stronger. I'll figure it out.

To this end, I have also managed to escape from the Spider. It has become clear to me that its arbitrary tyranny over me was based on inadequate principles, on a flawed understanding of the

I'm certifiable.

Next time please just put a link to the material, instead of making about the sixty-third copy of it here on the server? It'll save you time, save us aggravation, and save Bungie some coolant for their servers which must glow cherry-red sometimes from the influx of unprocessed cut-and-paste jobs from the ILB site.

By all means, if you have something new or different you've figured out from the site, feel free to post it. (In the right forum, mind you... see below.) But cutting and pasting month-old text doesnt help anymore. :( Too many people have already done it.

Oh, and remember that Halo 2 material belongs in New Mombasa. The Underground is for Bungie's older games and for events happening in the Studio.

-- Steve suggested a minor revision last week to help with site navigation... at the time he thought it was a minor problem, but it seems to be getting less minor these days.

Its basicly about this AI called melisa, who have a transmission of the ringmakers that relates to Troy, from this ship called the Apocalipso which was brought down by a device of the ringmakers/covenat near lunar orbit trough slipstream.
