Subject: What got you through Legandary?

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

An insanely powered Pistol and a few grenades. AR's and Shotguns on the Library, and pistol for everything else.

How to make the Campaign worth playing

Same as above. besides throwing a random plasma granade and sticking it to an invisible elite...ther is no "luck" in the single player. The first time people went throught it i think it was mainly determination. Of wanting to beat the game at its greatest challange. After that it was just skill. I should know. After completing Halo's SP campaighn 3 dozen times or more (at least 36...at most 40) i can nearly do it in my sleep for two reasons. 1) from repition the levels and enemie placement is engrained into my memory. and 2) Halo 1 isnt that hard at all and im just a skilled player.

In case your wondering if I need to be examided by a therapist, i used to play the SP before H2 came out for practice, since i didnt have XBC at the time and didnt LAN allot.

on my own it is skill. when I am playing co op I tell my comrade the next room only contains a couple of sleeping grunts really they are about to get cut to shreds by several Elites!

  • 04.18.2006 3:32 AM PDT

Of course there is luck. When your grenade explodes, will it kill the Elite standing next to it, or will it ignite the cluster of grenades already lying on the floor nearby, and wipe out the whole room for you??

There is a little bit of luck involved in some of the really tough places, but you can't beat it on legendary if you aren't relatively skilled. But after completing Halo 2 legendary, Halo legendary seems a lot easier.

  • 04.18.2006 7:19 AM PDT

Skillet was here and referred to himself in the third person.

I don't think anybody ould complete it without luck...except somebody from Bungie who actually took part in making the game.

I just used the pistol a lot and the AR was good for Grunts and infection forms...and it never hurts running backwards firing your AR in full auto and tossing grenades everywhere!

Sighness

Indubidubly. Banana.

All skill here too. I think people can get lucky if they accidently stick enemies, like this one time I stuck an Elite from across the cafeteria and he blew up everybody O_o. It was tight, saved me an annoying battle ^-^ (On the Maw)

i think what got me threw legendary was the crowd of about thirty fans seated behind me, cheering'come on kick that elites ass and the girls screaming your so freakin hot'. when i completed it we had a massive party.

I got through from faith.... faith of a rumor on the internet that if you beat all of halo combat evolved on legendary you'd get too see the master chiefs face at the end.

I don't really remember that well. Besides I WAS skilled at the time. I've gone rusty now and can't be bothered with it anymore. I've never attempted Halo2 on legendary.

Think of H2 on legendary as....trying to beat H1 on legendary with no shield and half of your maximum ammo. Thats the jist of it.

IDK, skill is obvious, but I would just race against my friend (over the phone, just play simultaneously). It makes the experience so much better to do that. But, it is the best story line of any game I've played. Either way, the All-Purpose Gun (aka the human pistol) was a party-stopper, the sniper, AR, and believe it or not, the Plasma Rifle actually helps to mow down enemies, since it actually does damage (unlike Halo 2, lol). And, almost off-topic, but does anyone agree with me that playing Halo: CE on Legendary is about the same as playing Halo 2 on normal? The Legendary from Halo 2 is the hardest game I've ever played in my life.

It's difficult. Especially so for the "non elite" plalyers. but its by no means impossible or in the "extreme" catagory....try Ninja Gaiden: Black on Master Ninja difficultie....holy -blam!- -blam!- its hard.

For those of you who DONT know...you only unlock THAT difficultie by beating the game on Very Hard..which is easily twice as hard as Halo 2 on legendary.

Every weapon. Amazingly I found the Assault Rifle extremely useful.

I found the Tank to be useless on Legendary though.

Skill dude. You can one place by look, but once you enter the next: and then the next: you can only get lucky so many times.

I used sticky grenades (I did learn the art of sticking), noob combo (plasma pistol and Assault pistol) and the needler. The needler helped alot: alot of damage at quite a distance.

I chose skill but it also takes patience because your enemies don't always react the way you expect them too. You have to constantly consider and reconsider varying sircumstances on the battlefield adjust your tactics accordingly. But were only human, we can only focus on so many things at once. Read these words carefully my children, as there a valuable life lesson in them.
