Subject: Sexy Prophets

Well slap my balls and call me Santa, I've got lizard tits!

If you've read Halo: Cryptum then you'll have read the description the San Shyuum (or prophets)are given at some point in the novel.

I have to ask: are these the same aliens we're talking about? Because according to Greg Bear Prophets are an exceptionally attractive race. This clearly doesn't match the Prophets featured in the original trilogy.

I'm sorry but I just can't imagine the Prophet of Truth tricking the Arbiter into letting him live through the subtle science of San Shyuum seduction.

"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."

Uh...the prophets are really old so.....probably the younger San Shyuum are attractive...according to them?

Oh gawd.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

The San'Shyuum weren't always as frail as they appear in the trilogy. Still though... what could possibly be seen as attractive or seductive about them? o_O

The San 'Shyuum used to be beautiful, apparently. After their war with the Forerunners though, their appearance began to degrade. I can't remember if it was purely biological or social reasons.

I've just got this image in my head now of a San'Shyuum with Rihanna's head...

Aut viam inveniam Aut faciam

I thought the way it was presented was that their culture was very -blam!-ly-charged. Also, I think he said that the Forerunners considered them an attractive race. The Forerunners were effin weird themselves so It's not that much of a stretch for them.

As strange as this might sound for some, I really wasn't surprised at the fact that the San'Shyuum were attractive when reading Cryptum.

In halo 2, they really looked like they could have been attractive in some sorts. I don't know how to expalain but it looks like the potential is there so, it's hard to explain but, pretty much you can see that once they were something like that.

Did that even make sense?

Indeed. Regal, yes. Imposing, yes. Truth, Regret and Mercy showing hints of being attractive?

Regret maybe. He looks like hugger that one. I like to held sometimes. I like to be pampered... Truth would just get what he wants and then leave you. And Mercy's super old and senile.

didn't the prophets survive a supernova? I didn't read cryptum, but maybe that's why they're so ugly?

Old people are 404 errors? I can not see the Prophets being attractive. At all. It was actually one of my main gripes with Cryptum.

WHY!?!?!?!

Anyway, back 100,000 years ago, they were apparently universally attractive. Time went on, and that disappeared.

Simple as that.

I believe there's a picture of an honor guard with his head buried in Regret's crouch.

The prophets were truly beutifull but due to able to prolong their life for some reason they were really old and wrinkly. No wonder they had to use the hover chair to move. They were real old.
